The world of Lit has just lost another damn fine person.:(

I just found out a couple minutes ago that Techsan has died. He was a damn good writer, an exemplary editor and a mighty friend to everyone who knew him.

I'd been working with him for the past couple of years as we were sharing writers and editing job. I got to know Ed through our exchanges when we were working on the same story to edit; we didn't always see eye-to-eye on everything but one thing's for sure, we both wanted our writers to be the best they could be.

Anyone who knew him had nothing but good thing to say about him. He'll be sorely missed. Editing won't be the same without him. :(

Safe journey my friend, I'll miss you. :rose:

I never corresponded with techscan, but I'd heard of his wonderful editing skills from other authors when I first started writing here. Just 'hearing' how he helped out writiers made me want to be a volunteer editor and it also made me want to be a better writer to please my own editor.

R.I.P. techscan. :rose:

Not familiar with the handle, perhaps we never met or interacted much. But my ignorance doesn't minimize the degree of loss endured by others. And LadyC knows I'm a fan of hers, so what she feels is also felt in kind by me.

God bless, Techsan, we'll see you in another life.

I never had a chance to interact with Techsan, but many writers here have said that his patent efforts made the better writers, and his own writings were pretty good as well. He will be missed.

Perhaps it is fitting that in his final full year here he was voted Most Helpful Editor.

:rose:

It is not only here he is missed. He edited for writers at SOL and ES as well.

I expect he is currently editing the Good Book so that St. Peter can correct it.

Given the condition of the existing manuscript, a complete edit would be a daunting task indeed. Still, Techsan is an outstanding editor and he has all of eternity to excise the countless contradictions, assign the correct value to pi, and clean up the tortured syntax.

Hang in there, Tech, and don't let those damned harp players drive you up the wall.

I am so sorry to hear this. I had the privilege of his editing one of my stories.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I didn't know him personally, but knew of his skill and that he was much loved by the authors and others who interacted with him. RIP. :rose:

I just found this thread. I looked up Techsan's work and the amount of Hs speaks strongly as to its quality. I too wish him an RIP and regret that up until now I have not been familiar with his work. I'll have to change that soon. <sighs>
