Who didn't love June Cleaver? I remember coming home from school and watching reruns of Leave It To Beaver every day.

=====

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Even decades after the show ended, Barbara Billingsley expressed surprise at the lasting affection people had for “Leave it to Beaver” and her role as the warm, supportive mother of a pair of precocious boys.

The actress, who gained supermom status for her gentle portrayal of June Cleaver in the 1950s television series, died Saturday after a long illness. She was 94.

And a great clip from GMA from a few years ago, the 50th anniversary of Leave It To Beaver:

Rest in peace, Mrs. Cleaver. :rose:

I wanted to post this on my Facebook , and didn't, because I thought it a teeny bit in bad taste - but since this is a crowd who can take a joke, I will. :D

I wonder? How many times have you boys had impure thoughts about June - the original MILF?

RIP June Cleaver, you were a class act to the end.

She was a beauty wasn't she !

She was certainly a beauty, but it wasn't only that. She was also a woman I would have wanted to marry, had it been possible. I was a teenager when Beaver was on TV, and lusted for women such as MM and Jane Russell and Lana Turner, et al, but June Cleaver was a woman I would have made love to. :heart:
