Ohhhh!

Oh baby...I am working on an expression of my love tonight. God I am so taken in by you and I awake every morning with this hunger for more....I will be now and forever yours.

Blarney

Thank you Blarney you know I love reading your writing as well thank you for sharing here

Thanks Amber

I miss writing...its been a rough month..Ive burried best friends and the ER has been unrelenting this past week. So it is good to be able to blow some steam off and lend a smile or two. If only time would just let the poets write, yet fate seems to place us where we are needed the most.

Odd quotes

"How far that little candle throws its beam. So shines a good deed in a naughty world." William Shakespear

haha..I never heard the word naughty used by shakespear before did you ? haha

Here is my favorite Shakespear quote "I will make it a crime for a man to drink small beer."

That's why I drink Guinness...haha

To act with my clothes on a performance...to act with my clothes off ..a documentary. Julia Roberts.

Go Julia...you should do more documentaries..haha

"Truth is stranger than fiction!" Mark Twain

I had to end with Twain...he is the bomb !

Just a qoute in memory of friends sacrificed on the altar of freedom:

Whoever does not have the stomach for this fight, let him depart. Give him money to speed his departure since we wish not to die in that man's company. Whoever lives past today and comes home safely will rouse himself every year on this day, show his neighbor his scars, and tell embellished stories of all their great feats of battle. These stories will teach his son and from this day until the end of the world we shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for whoever has shed his blood with me shall be my brother. And those men afraid to go will think themselves lesser men as they hear of how we fought and died together.

Spoken by Gen. Garrison to the soldiers and airmen who fought, bled and died on the dirty and fire swept streets of Mogadishu, Somalia, Oct. 3rd, 1993.

He spoke this as we gathered to welcome back into the fold our fallen and now returned brother Mike Durant, held captive for 10 days after his UH-60 was shot down by enemy fire. Durant and his crew fought off the enemy until two extremely brave and noble men landed in a helicopter to try and defend them. These brave men died fighting what they knew was a hopeless fight, a fight they could not win but gave their lives to defend a wounded pilot and a dying crew.

In loving memory of my friends, comrades and the best damn 'Hawk crew I ever had the pleasure of riding with:

Cpl. Jamie Smith
Sgt. Joyce Casey
Randy Shughart
Gary Gordon
Spec. Dom Pilla
Earl Filmore
Griz Martin
WO Ray Frank
Crew Chief Bill Cleveland

* Speech above was from Shakespear's Henry V

That was beautiful big brother *hugs you tight*

Some Quotes on my mind right now...
None meant to offend just hoping to make you laugh

"You have been weighed, you have been measured and you have been left wanting"
A knight's tale

"Son I have learned there are only two undeniable truths in life, There is a god and I am not him"
-The movie Rudy

My wife told me I should be more affectionate, so I got two girlfriends.

Grow your own Dope. Plant a man.

Don't be sexist. Broads hate that.

Women think they are so clever at faking orgasms... but only a man can fake a whole relationship.

I believe in dragons, good men, and other fantasy creatures.

Behind every successful man is a surprised woman.

If a man tells a woman she's beautiful she'll overlook most of his other lies.

A woman is like a teabag - only in hot water do you realise how strong she is.

I want a sensitive man - one who'll cry when I hit him.

My favorite toasts....

I ll start with the traditional bardic one....

THE PARTING GLASS

Oh all the money that ere I spent
I spent it in good company
And all the harm that ere I've done
Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all

If I had money enough to spend
And leisure time to sit a while
There is a fair maid in this town
That sorely has my heart beguiled
Her rosy cheeks and ruby lips
I own she has my heart in thrall
Then fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all

Oh all the comrades that e'er I had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be with you all.

The religious one.....

May ye be in heaven half an hour
Before the devil knows your dead!

The humorous one....

As you slide down the bannister of life
May the splinters never face the wrong way!

The greeting card version....

May the road rise to meet ye
May the wind be always at yer back
May the sun shine warm upon yer face
And the rain fall softly on yer fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand

The chivalrous one..(well sort of)

Here's to honour
Get on her and stay on her!

And finally the one you have been holding your breath for...The Blarneystoned original travelers poem....haha..I wrote this before I left for Alaska for three months...In the wilds and on the sea, I found myself..always take the road less traveled !!

Fair Winds

May your seas be calm
May the storms pass gently as you make your way
May your days be long
And your sunsets be spectacular

May the night hold you gentle in her arms
As you slide into your dreams
And may the angels keep you safe from harm
May the stars be there to guide you

May the beers be strong and the brandy mellow
May the wines be sweet and misty
May the laughter flow to all good fellow
And may the maidens dance till dawn

May the dolphins play in your wake
And the gulls guide you safe to dry land
May your harpoon be always sharp to keep the sharks at bay
And your nets be full of the finest catch

May the wind be constant by your side
And your rudder be keen as a razor
As you cut through crest and tide
May you sails be always full of God's breath
And the waves rock soft and gentle

May your anchors weigh
And your mast be strong and stark
May the sun shine warm upon the bay
And fortune be in your horizon

And in your darkest hour
As the rocks jut out and you are tossed about
May light shine from the tower
To guide you safe to port
Fare thee well my friends
May your winds always be fair

I can't help it...

For some reason the only quote I can think of at this particular moment is...

"As God is my witness, I though turkeys could fly."
Les Nessman, WKRP in Cincinnati

Hope that brings a chuckle.

hmmm ..turkeys can fly..just not well

haha...This is the truth...I was driving through the backwoods down this way...I was cruising about 70 mph...I was going down hill .....when out of the tree drops this bird ...trying to gain lift....It about 5 feet off the ground when it contacted my windshield and smashed my windshield.....and yes...it was a wild turkey...and no I wasnt drinking wild turkey...I still have the feathers to prove it...haha..and the red necks behind me went chasing the wounded foul into the forest..hahaa....I love where I live..there is so much natural comedy here..haha

Now whenever I am sad I just have to get the visual of this turkey with his eyes bulging and gobbler angainst the glass with his ass stuck in my windshield...haha...dumb ass turkey cost me 256 dollars to fix my windshield...haha..but perhaps it was worth it just to tell this story...haha

sorry no quotes this time...Blarney

It's the stupid ones who need the advice."

" money might not be able to buy me happiness. but at least it will buy me a ticket out of here ....""
an original star saying ..

We are all liars, because
The truth of yesterday
becomes a lie tomorrow,
Whereas letters are fixed,
and we live by the letter of truth.
The love I feel for my friend, this year,
is different from the love I felt last year.
If it were not so, it would be a lie.
Yet we reiterate love! love! love!
as if it were a coin with fixed value
instead of a flower that dies, and opens a different bud.
'Lies About Love'
D.H Lawrence.

Not really a quote, but love it--bumper sticker...(I want this one!)

Caution: I drive as bad as you do!!! :D

"your character is what you are when no one is around"

H.C. Slockum

"I don't believe what I just saw"

the late Jack Buck describing Kurt Gibson's home run

"I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hangin curveball, high fiber, good scotch... that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, I believe there ought to be a Constitutional ammendment outlawing astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft core pornography, opening your presents on Christmas morning rather than on Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three nights."
