I've seen a sorts of other threads to give people ways to share how they're feeling at the moment around here, but not something like this. (Maybe I just missed it.)

So, share a quote that describes how you're feeling, or that is inspirational to you right now, or even one that is how you wish you were feeling.

I saw this one this morning, and it had a fairly oracular feel to it with what's going on in my life:

The world wisely prefers happiness to widsom.

~Will Durant

Lately it's been:

You get what you get and you don't have a fit.

(Kindergarten wisdom NEVER dies.)

"If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans. "

Woody Allen

(A Big-Hello to Ms. Sadie)

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Why can't I find things?

There is hardly anyone whose sexual life, if it were broadcast, would not fill the world at large

Woody Haroldson

This makes so much sense................why do we worry that someone else is getting more or better.....................

"To an ordinary human, everything is a blessing or a curse;
to an enlightened human, everything is a challenge and an opportunity"

Don Juan

thank you {{{{{H}}}}} for helping me to look for the wisdom of the experience instead of the positive or negative behind it. "Things just are."

Speaking of Adventure ....

“Every production of an artist should be the expression of an adventure of his soul.”

W.S. Maugham

"Don't look to get into a relationship with someone who will make you happy.
Get in one with someone who will share the happiness you've already found inside."
H. Mickoski

Oh, where was this pearl of wisdom 10 years ago when I needed this message beat into my head?

May we all find the courage we need to ask ourselves the questions that will free our minds and strengthen our souls.
Dawna Markova, "I Will Not Die An Unlived Life"

Oh how I wish I were a trinity, so if I lost a part of me, I'd still have two of the same to live.

Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.
Oscar Wilde

Dreams pass into the reality of action.
From the actions stems the dream again;
and this interdependence produces the highest form of living.

~ Anais Nin ~

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

~ Anais Nin ~

Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

Kahlil Gibran

Love never dies a natural death.
It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source.
It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals.
It dies of illness and wounds;
it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing.

~ Anais Nin ~

Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.
Douglas Adams, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

An Email that made me Smile

A burglar broke into a house one night. He
shined his Flashlight around, looking for valuables; and
when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a
strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying,
'Jesus is watching you.'
He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his
flashlight off, and froze.
When he heard nothing more after a bit, he
shook his head and continued. Just as he pulled the
stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a
bell he heard, 'Jesus is watching you'
Freaked out, he shined his light around
frantically, looking for the source of the voice.
Finally, in the corner of the room, his
flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
Did you say that?' he hissed at the parrot.
'Yep,' the parrot confessed, and then squawked,
'I'm just trying to warn you.'
The burglar relaxed. 'Warn me, huh? Who in the
world are you?'
'Moses,' replied the bird.
'Moses?' the burglar laughed. 'What kind of
peoplen would name a bird Moses?'
'The kind of people that would name a
Rottweiler Jesus.'
