Quiz: Lit Pop

Didn't guess. answered five, left the rest blank-- 50% but the little blurb for it referenced people I never heard of.

Not big on these things.

Fun quiz...
I got a 9 out of 10...
There must be some mistake. :)

Congratulations. You are a literary genius. You clearly have spent far too many warm summer days indoors writing frightening verse to a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg. Go out and get some fresh air and buy a Gareth Gates record. (and if you don't know what we're talking about, you're a lot less sad than us)

I guessed on a few - don't know what this means - my head is filled with useless trivia, probably.

I got 8 out of 10, but I have to confess I guessed on a couple of the ones I got right.

So you can tell your Dr Dre from your Dr Faustus, but literary music goes beyond Nick Hornby.

To think I wasted my lucky guesses on this:rolleyes:

You scored 9 out of a possible 10.

Because I am a sad bastard who knows far too many old rock songs and their inspirations. Oh yeah, and though I'm a sci-fi/fant fanatic, I still do read the occassional dry tome. Sadly I missed the Rolling Stones question. Shame on me.

No guesses. I answered 3 and got 3 out of 10...

Tom Jones is more than just a singer you know. Gareth Gates is not Elvis. Oh no. Oh and we know you know that Homer is more than a Simpson. (But that's a different quiz altogether...)

I didn't know the Rolling Stones question either. *shrug*

Even more shameful that you admitted it. Lucifer truthful? WTF?!

Hey if I lied all the time. I'd be downright predictable. Besides with everyone expecting lies all the time, a truth can carry more evil. I'm a right ol' bastard.

I got 7/10 but i did guess a couple...and a few I thought I knew but it was a hazy thought in my head.....so I went with it *L*

Missed the Nik Kershaw question. I can't say that surprises me.

"But our rich literary heritage has inspired some of our greatest songwriters. And Nik Kershaw."

Ha ha!!!

I already have all of Gareth Gates' stuff - even a signed photo and CD.

I got 1 out of 10, by knowing that the Divine Comedy was by Dante, though I had never heard of a pop group with that name.

All the other questions were so far outside my experience as to be virtually meaningless.

I knew 2, went by random on the rest, and ended up with 8/10. Weird.

I got 8 out of 10. I can't believe I missed the Cure one, finger must've slipped ;)

I think they put that picture of Morrissey on the answer page looking suitably put out to mock me.

Ditto

I did get the Rolling Stones one right, but I guessed. :D

I didn't do too bad, considering.

Got 6 out of 10. Not bad but still kicking myself for missing a couple of them.
