I don't know if thise will help, but using warm water on anything that comes from humans (spit, semen, etc) makes it sticky. I'm not sure why - I learned this in my cna class. I've never had to do wash semen out of my eyes, but I do know that when me and K have sex in the shower that cold water washes the semen off me faster than warm water.
