I know it's been discussed before.

Who here has seen it? What did you think of it?

well, yeah, she does. But, I'm asking about the movie! :p

And I'm sayin', her tits were the best part of the movie.

Is it truthful in your eyes?

Emotionally truthful or historically accurate? It rang true emotionally to me, as for the historical accuracy I really don't know enough about the subject to say (never cared enough to go and look it up either.)

Emotionally truthful, perversely truthful.

I'm watching wide-eyed.

I have a deep fondness for this movie . I think Geoffrey Rush in his portrayal of de Sade gives us glimpses of the joy and genius of the man himself.

If you are interested in exploring further I highly recommend the following......

Dialogue Between a Priest and a Dying Man (1782) By the Marquis de Sade

Biography and letters between de Sade and his wife while he was imprisoned are also contained on the thread .

I hope that enhances the viewing of Quills for you .

Hey Skye. (>^_^)>

I've seen it and I LOVED it! It was both hilarious and moving...the twists were good too. The acting was superb...

One of my fave scenes: When de Sade wrote on the walls with his own shit. :D
