quiet despair

Only you know how you're feeling and how you're coping or what you may want to do in the future.

If your partner loves you then I really think that you could share with them what is going on for you.

I would be very sad if my husband felt he couldn't share with me if he was having a tough time or lean on me for an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or any other way I could help him.

Go to a support group with your (husband?)
I think the reason he doesn't want you talking about
it is because he's afraid for you, afraid of losing you,
and doesn't want to think about it.

Your partner should be there for you to comfort you or
talk about it at any time...

I would definitely go to a support group to talk about
it and ask advice on how to get your partner out of
(denial?) the stage he's in. Same thing as AA.
