I'm no sex psychologist but I don't think nymphomania has much to do with sex with multiple partners particularly, does it? I mean, nymphomaniacs have/need/want a lot of sex but couldn't he/she just have a lot of sex with the one partner?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but nymphomania is a female condition. The male equivalent is priapism. Unless a nymphomaniac met up with a priapismic, she would seek out multiple partners. In order to remain faithful, she'd have to resort to objects. That's why they're called "marital aids".

A priapism is an erection that will not go away. It's actually a very PAINFUL condition, usually caused by a medical condition, not related to sex.
