Is the Transgender category a good place to be? What's it like there? Is it more forgiving on kinks? Thanks.

I like it there. Like all categories, however, it has subdivisions (cross-dressing, trans, futa) but generally it's a friendly place to write for.

I flirted with a transgender woman once, I’m a fan of Kim Petras and Elliot Page, besides that I’m not sure how to address them properly in my writing. So I’m just accepting their existence and trying not to stir up trouble. Far as Crossdressers, I’m a fan of the films Mrs. Doubtfire and To Wong Foo, also Mulan, but it’s a bit of a controversial subject for me at this time. Maybe when political activists calm down… Good luck to anyone who ventures into that territory.

If you mean, do the cross-dressing fans complain about futa tales or vice versa: not as a rule, at least on any story I've read. There are occasional trolls, of course, but they don't seem to congregate in roving bands like in some categories.

I'd hazard a guess that the prevalence has more to do with what you were looking for than what is available there. I've read a variety of permutations, many of which have nothing to do with any party's butt.

I have written several stories for the T/S category. I find the audience to be mostly polite, and the comments are mostly constructive.
Not all stories in the category relate to anal sex.
There is in fact a group within the category who prefer stories that don't delve into that aspect of gender fluidity. They prefer stories relating to the desires to actually transition, or dress.
I did receive a comment in a story that did involve gay scenes. The comment said. "Not all men who cross dress are homosexual."
So as it is with every category, there are people who read looking for what fuels their specific interest.
My advice is if you are interested, then dive in. Commenters are by and large polite.
