Question?

Domplex

If you are looking for a femail sub, shouldn't it be "PM me now bitch!" (or something like that?)

I would consider that person to have a serious Domplex. The same types who go (alone) to a BDSM event and wear a belt with 6 floggers hanging and dressed head to toe in black. The ones who play but never actually DO. Pretender wannabe's. (I suspect these are usually the same one's we imagine living in their parents' basements and holding minimum wage jobs all their adult lives.) A genuine dom worth his weight doesn't need to show off EVER.

This is such a common misconception. I can't tell you how many times I've been talking to a potential Mistress and she started giving me orders when I was still in the getting to know her phase. Until the sub thinks of you as Master/Mistress you don't have an ounce of power. You'd be better served taking your time, showing off your strong personality (without being a Dom/Domme) and finding out what kinks turn the sub on and where his or her limits are.

Classic rookie mistake...you're not the boss of the sub until they say you are.

Oh I love this... there is something that just totally turns me off when a Dom/me starts getting sexual without even getting to know me or orders me and has not a clue.

Was that sarcasm I detected?

LOL If I were single, and someone PM'd me with something like that, I'd just laugh my ass off. Then I WOULDN'T PM them, cause that's what they told me to do. Frankly, when I do get PM's like that (cause some people - mostly lurkers - don't realize I'm not looking  ) I have to admit I think they're wannabe's. They're the kind of person who's gonna scream 'you're not a true sub' two minutes into a conversation with them. Man, I'm glad I don't have to deal with the dating scene.

So, if you don't mind my asking...how should a genuine Dom post a profile on say..collarme.com or alt.com? It would seem to me, you'd have to show off, at least a little, to get someone's attention there.

I don't. I don't even have any pictures of my cock, if that tells you anything.

Actually, no picture would be able to do it justice. I'd have to include a disclaimer along with it...objects in picture are larger than they appear!

Shouldn't a Dom/sub relationship be consensual, not just at the beginning, but all the way along??

SJ

More or less. :cathappy:

All I really pay attention to are the checklists and other Q&A there...that will show compatibility enough to prompt a PM or not. That's the resume; the rest is the cover letter.

Although, I have to say, if I was looking, if there was a particularly creative ad, that would catch my attention. But a run of the mill, here is my cock, and get on your knees and beg bitch line would probably turn me off.

My current Master managed to get my attention with his mind and keen writing ability :)
