I was wondering, since it didn't specify in the rules..are furries allowed under fantasy? It states no bestiality in the rules but are actual furries under that? Furthermore I would like to know if it would be alright to post logs of RolePlay for other's entertainment.

Does anyone know if these are within the rules?

Thank you.

I think it depends. Furries should be OK since werefolk and animal-like sentient beings are allowed.

What about RolePlay logs though?

I don't really know where you'd put them. They're not actually stories, so I don't know that anyone would be interested. You can start a roleplay in the SRP forum though.

Ahh well... Me thinks of it as like a chain story that you can do here but in instead of chapters it's paragraphs and just perceptions from two different characters..or more ;P

Roleplay logs are technically a joint authorship work for copyright purposes. You can't post them without the permission of the other participant(s).

They get posted in "letters and transcripts". However, I'd want to put a furry RP in "Fantasy" anyway, since the lit readers that read letters are more... plebeian in their tastes.

You'd have to make a real point of whyt you want it in fantasy, in the "notes", when you submit your file.

The Rp log that Joeysgame and I posted-- we created a new identity just for it.

All of this is directly related to sexual situations involving those creatures that blur the line between man and beast. If they're not involved in sexual situations, it doesn't matter.

So long as you're talking about a creature with animal-like characteristics that behaves in a more or less human manner, you should be fine. The typical definition of furry is a more or less humanoid creature with the characteristics of an animal. It's intelligent, and capable of consent - that's where I believe the bar is for bestiality vs. furry.

That doesn't mean you're going to get a housecat with a genius IQ through the vetting process, though.

As to where you should post a story with a furry, I'll agree with the last poster ( that I saw before hitting reply, this post is taking forever with interruptions ) that most of those readers are in the Non-Human category. For maximum readership of people inclined to a furry story, that's where you want to put it.

However - if the center of the story isn't really the furry character, and they're just part of a larger story, then you may want to go with Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

With the logs, you're going to have a tough time there. The readers in Letters and Transcripts aren't exactly the target readers you're looking for. In both Fantasy and Non-Human, they're looking for more of a story.

I'd say your best bet is to try to transform the logs into an actual story. You should have the permission of anyone else involved to post their part as well.

We posted it under "Letters and transcripts" but it probably should be under BDSM since it is very much so. We created the handle "Omegas_Game" as a reference to both of us, (my game, I top haha) and we proofread before we put it up.
The End Of Innocence (It is BDSM, so be warned)

I had forgotten about the "non Human" cat-- that is, for sure, where you should be going. It's a shame stories can't go into two cats at a time, so many people's works crossover!

I have an ongoing story with a "Furry" type character. He's a lion man. It's either posted in scifi/fantasy or non-human. I forget which.

Are we talking "Tribble Sex" here?

I certainly hope the Tribbles are over eighteen (in Tribble years, of course).

If the story is about people who engage in furry activitiy, I would think it would fit under the fetish category. If the story crosses the line and makes the furry a tremendously anthropomorphized/magical animal or animal-like human (werewolf, catwoman, squirrelman), then it could be in the fantasy/science fiction or non-human categories.

Thank you.

I have some (more or less) intelligent lizards out there -- they have feathers.

What the hell is a furry?

I think it's when you get mad and that vein pops out of your forehead. "Someone pissed in my cereal and I'm furrious!"

Something like that maybe?

Feathers on lizards? Ya don't say? =P

Well -- they're dinosaur type liszards -- by all accounts dinos were closer to birds. They were warm blooded and feathered.
