Question: Nipple Piercing...

I've searched all over this board trying to find the answers to this question. I did glean some info, but I still need more (anyone surprised? lol)

Master and I have talked about nipple piercing. Not piercing play, as neither of us have the desire for that. However, I had mentioned that I thought I MIGHT want to have a nipple pierced. Master loves the idea. I would start with just getting one done, and if we wanted or desired to I'd get the other done after the first healed.

Now, here's my problem. I am deathly afraid of needles. There is really no rational reason for my fear; I've never been attacked with needles or anything like that. But the fact remains, I'm petrified.

I've read extensively online about nipple piercing, and think I'm fairly well informed on the procedure. I guess what I’m looking for is this, how did it make you feel when you had it done? Would you do it again, knowing what you went thru? Does it affect the sensitivity of your nipples?

That’s all for now, but I may come back with more questions (no surprise there either I’m sure…lol).

i fear needles in the real world but for some reason when it comes to piercing and tattoos i have no fear - maybe because it is my choice not some blood sucking Lab Tech. ( no offence to lab techs )

how did it make you feel when you had it done? i was at ease when i had mine done, the guy that did them has been a good friend of mine for a long time, so he made sure i was totally at ease (plus because it was him i could show no fear)

Would you do it again, knowing what you went thru? i thought about doing 1 than going back and getting the other done, but i decided that if it was "bad" i would never end up going back and live my life lop-sided, so i got them both done at the same time - and yes i would do it again

Does it affect the sensitivity of your nipples? they are always "ON" now

Dixi I have considered getting my nipples pierced at a point, but then I started getting tattoos. So for now I think I'll continue with those, until I don't know when! lol

But I will admit that I like nipple piercings on a woman. They are so nice to play with!

Oh and on a sidenote. I know that mae13 is pierced as well, so if you have any questions, I'm sure she'll be willing to answer them.

I have thought about it extensively.

IT would take a special someone to make me really want to do this.

However, a Dom friend of mine told me he was going to be piercing his sub and was very excited. When it was done, he was very proud of her and felt they became closer.

I found interesting as well as alluring.

Oh my Miss T. That's just one of those things that we would have to go to a professional about. Master already told me he doesn't wish to be the one to do this, however, he would be there while I got it done.

We are both concerned about one of us doing this, as we don't want to add to the risk of infection.

i'm not afraid of the pain, at all, but i hear that healing takes months... and that is where my concern lies.... i don't want to have them out of commission for sooo long... hehehehe

Thanks SierraMoon. That's yet another reason that I thought I'd just get one done at a time. I've read that the healing time is up to 6 months. I could not stand to wait 6 months to have my nipples played with.

I will let ya'll know when I do decide one way or the other.

When considering piercing of breast tissue, take into consideration your future childbearing and breast feeding. I have heard it affects that and I have heard the opposite.

I have considered having my nipples done, but to be honest, as a practicing nudist, the women who display them look silly. In the artistic photos, they can be very attractive (but, of course, so can blood dripping down the mouth of a vampire--not anywhere near reality). This is, of course, my opinion only.

I do believe that doing one side first is a good idea. I am not sure how long the prior respondants have had theirs done. I would recommend you only ask for opinions or take into consideration the opinions) from people who have had theirs done for more than 5 years to see what issues might come up that your average swingin' single young type person may not have yet had the chance to experience.

My own experience with piercing is all below the waist. (2 rings--one labial, one hood) They aren't noticed except when I change them and then it is like having a constant stimulant.

I have flirted here and there with having my nips done, but as a practicing health care worker, I must say that you need to be aware of the prejudices in the health care community. You do NOT want your heart surgeon looking down on you when you need him to be as unbiased as possible!!!

I am currently dealing with the possibility of an upcoming major surgery. The surgeon that I have researched out and feel would be the safest is older than dirt--which automatically makes me concerned about his "old school" of thought concerning my rings. Of course, he would not have to know about them at all until surgery was scheduled, but still....

(My last surgery was on my throat and I refused to remove my underwear.)

If you do decide to go ahead and have the piercing(s) done, make yourself wait for it--6 months would really not be too long. If you still want it, you know it is probably right. That would give you time to consider various situations where it might be an issue and to get more research in. You might look at some sites dealing with (plastic) surgical correction of failed piercings to see what negative issues may occur.

It would also give you time to decide if you want to make the choice to never use nipple clamps again. It would be stupid to use them on a piercing. (Unless the ring is removed and the healing does take a long time!) Personally, I like the clamps too much to have a piercing done there.

LOL--What was it that made you change your mind?

(I have thought about doing one side after menopause, but the healthcare issues are such biggies to me--listened to a nurse talking about how "out of control" someone was in her life because she has now gone so far as to have a clit piercing. The prejudices are as alive in your doctor's office as they are in your community!)

First let me assure you that I'm past the having kids stage. My eldest child turns 17 on Tuesday, and I have two others. I'm 36 now. Not a youngster, but not too old yet either....(that'll be when I'm about 90 I think..lol)

I have been researching this for the last 5 months now. And I do still have the urge to have it done. I said to Master that I would like to only have the one done ever, but would consider the other after the first healed. I'm still very undecided on this issue to be honest.

Ya done it again,...now I gotta lay out ONE of my fetishes for the world to trample on.

NO,...NO,...NO,...I don't like nipple piercings.
The reason being,...I REALLY appreciate unfettered
and smooth silky skin. Beautiful nipples are a JOY for me to play with.

I don't want them crinkly and perky ALL the time. I love to suckle them in my mouth, and tongue them without adornments in my way. I love the NATURAL
BODY totally.

Natural hair, natural hair color, subtle perfume mixed with the natural scent of a woman is ok, but still,...I want to smell HER. I dislike phony breasts, phony fingernails, etc.

P.S.~I know I gave more than was necessary,(TMI),...but that's just me,...I am a charitable man.
I am not saying any of the above is BAD,...but they are MY opinions,...and I own them.

BlondGirl... you brought up so many good points... i am second thinking my decision to have this done..atleast on both nipples....
the one part of your post that is really making me second guess, is the part i snipped above.... i LOVE my clamps, and don't think i could ever do without them for good....

Piercing on a male...

I had my nipples pierced several years ago and have a few things to add.

1.) It is still possible to use clamps. They have to be behind the piercing or they have to be loose so that you don't cause tissue damage by crushing the flesh against the metal of the ring.

2.) Suspending weights from them is awesome. You have the feeling of the weight without the pinching of the clamp. You can also hang more weight without worrying about the clamp slipping off. (owch!)

3.) Have them done by a professional with a good reputation. My piercer was a pro but still didn't do a very good job. My nips bulged out on the sides and now they look funny.

4.) Mine healed enough to gently play with in a few weeks but they can still get infected years later.

5.) I think they are HOT, HOT, HOT! on a sub. (Hell, I thought
they were hot on me

I took them out last year and I really miss them. I have thought about having them re-done but my nips are still messed up. It was pretty painful the first time but the thought of someone pushing a needle through old scar tissue is bordering on too much even for me.

have had mine (both) pierced for almost a year now and love them when i first got them done the feeling was awesome would rub agianst them after the first week or so and feel the emince need to explode would i do it over hell yeah both at one time was best for me as i felt i would be to much of a chicken to go back for the other one maybe one day i will remove them but for now i love it when my S\O twists them or pulls them playfully and he seems to really enjoy them

do what feels right and remember you only live once if they aint what you want or thought they would be take em out yeah a little scare tissue but i have that from innocent playing to

13 years or so ago my hubby at 18 wanted his nipple peirced when he told me he was having it done i at 16 thought no you are not he kept telling me he was I out of ignorance said y eah and if you do i won't sleep with you anymore. don'tlet mine or his gae shock ya we did get married when i was in the tenth grade he was in his first year of college so we have been togetehr for longer than anyone thought possible but its all good. now back to the subject here. when he wanted his done I did know anyone who had theres done nor had i ever heard anyone mentioned body piercings at all except a few bikers we knew. so I thought it was dirty and degrading and wanted no part of it.

Then a few years ago it started to sem like everyone we knew was having it done and I was still against it and he no longer wanted his doen but wanted me to get mine done i would joke around with him and say yeah baby lets go get it done. I thought it was all a big joke.

and then a year ago he satrted hanging out at a body piercing shop talking and learning all he could about it he never asked meto have it done or said he wanted he it done, he just seemed to like hanging out with the guy who owned the shop. and then one day he took me to met the guy and i realized the guy was married to a good friend of mine from high school so was started ahnging out their together. In January I told my hubby that for my birthday i was getting my nipples done he said are you sure you want to I said yeah its what i want I want it for me. he told me to think about it and then to do what ever iwanted it was my choice. so my birthday came and went and i kept saying i'm gonna do it but i necver did. then two days after his birthday he took me the shop and handed me the money and said if you want it done then go ahead and do it but if not don't just don't keep saying you are. I thought to myself i want it done cause i thoughti t was sexy at this point and had been wearing the clip on nipple rings and i loved them so the reall thing had to be better. when he handed me the money I walked in and said ok lets do it.

I was terrified not of having it done or what others would think but of the needle and how bad is this gonna hurt. but I took a deep bretah and told the guy who did it that if i passout go ahead and get themboth done befor eyou wake me back up, my husband wnet in the room with me he works with ems and the firedepratment so i felt with him there if any medical something came up he would know how to handle it and me so on that side I felt safe andt he guy doing it was agood friend of ours by the time i did have it done. and yes I passed it out, not from the pain, because to be honest the pain was nothing compared to how rough i like sex and the way i love the feel of nipple clamps etc etc but the pain to me really wa snot so bad what mad eme pass out was that when i realized that the pain wasn't as bad as i thought it would be my body dumped all the adrenline that my fear had caused to pump up and when it dumped i passed out i never lost consiceness and i knew what was happening around me i was just to stupified (if thats the word) to respond to any of it.it was almost kinda like being in deep subspace.

to me the expeience in itself was well worth it. I have since gone back and had my belly button done and have been in th eprocess of opening my own body jewlery shop. I don't intend to do any piercing on my own but we are opening our own shop to sell body jewlery.

what does it do to your nipples.........it has made mine overly senstive,they do not hurt or get uncomfortable inany way but the slightest stimulation now has them rock hard almost 24/7 now and i love every minute of it so does my hubby who has also gotten one of his nipples done I have 14 gauge rings in mine he has an 8guage and wants his other nipple done now as well.
I don't have a problem with my doctor knowing or seeing mine when it becames a nessasity that he see them, and being under the care or a cardioligist he does tend to see them from time to time he never comments on them nor does he ever give clue that he even notices a good Doctor won't he is just that simply a doctor and he does his job and thats it.
would i do it over again if i had it to do over.......yes i would but then i love them i think they look great they feel wonderful and i'm happy with mine. but no I don't think its for everyone and don't think my opinion has to agree with anothers nor does there have to agree with mine. just do what is right for you and don't worry about what others will think . just be yourself and do what ya feel is right for you.
