Who said anybody wanted to PG this place? It is a question based on human behavior. Just curious. Like I said I look at the train wrecks too. For what it's worth there are tons of other forums that have some of the same thing going on and even different areas of Lit.

Where ever you go, there are people who feel they can raise themselves by bringing someone else down. It's a distraction from their own wretchedness.

Anuther time an asshole was giving me some lip while I was working with a sheet metal brake. Unfortunately for him he backed his ass up against the jaws of the brake, and I closed them on the seat of his jeans.

On yet anuther occasion the biggest fuckin Nigga in the world came in the shop to kick my ass for flipping him the bird. I was on the floor marking a steel plate for cutting. He called me a pimp and said he was gonna kick my ass. I looked up at him, touched his right boot with my awl, and said, THIS FOOT? Then I punched the awl thru his boot with my hammer. Again, you cant kick ass with one foot.

As one that has spent way too much time reading threads around this place, I am struck by the back and forth exchanges from folks that generally do not care for each other in the least. The same posters have to know their opinion will not change the other's mindset even a little bit. I am not referring to the political or occasional thread that folks are just expressing themselves, rather I am talking about the threads that devolve into beyond the usual GB snark into plain ugly. My question is why bother? What motivates you? After you have called someone so and so's alt for the nth time and you have told them to go get bent for the zillionth time, what is the purpose? Do you think that perhaps telling them one last time to go get screwed, you (fill in the blank) alt, is gonna make them realize the fallacy of their own opinion? Maybe I am missing the purpose of the GB. And for what it's worth this is a serious question, I am just interested in the thought process. Like lots of folks I look at the train wrecks too. Just wondering is all.

Oh! Words can change minds, no question about it! All you gotta do is find the right words people cant resist.

Most depressed people respond to insults, you cant be suicidal and angry at the same time. But you can be homicidal and angry. Fear and anger have a similar relationship.
