I was having a discussion just a second ago with my lovely sister and her girlfriend and my sister asked me WTF I was planning on doing with the 156 gallon aquarium I orderd a few days back. I told her I was probably going to put it in my room opposite my bed. I was then given a rash of shit about how no woman would sleep with a guy who had a big ass aquarium in his bedroom. Now I ask...would a well put together aquarium that was finished out all pretty with a nice wood stand and hood in a guys room be a deal breaker for any of you ladies? or is my sister yanking my chain?

If you kept it very clean and it looked beautiful I'd be all about it. Sounds sexy. Hell I've slept with much worse. ;)

I think it would be cool.

One, I love the sound of babbling water..it's relaxing.

Two, the motion of the fish when I was trying to chill out would be soothing.

Three, it would give me something to look at in b/w really long sessions in bed. ;)

Four, the glow of the lights and such make a great ambiance lighting.

I say, as long as it's well cared for, have at it.

:)

Thanks for the support ladies, now I must go find an insecurity of my sisters to pick at...

hahahaha what kind of antagonistic brother would I be then? nah I will ignore the evil twins banter like always. Just if anyone is curious this is about what it will look like once im done building it and putting the live stock in.

Can I come lay on your bed when it's all done and pretend I'm in the Amazon?

:D

Ohhhhh, the innuendo there. ;)

Just have to say, as someone who owns and has bred fish for a ridiculously long time...

Fish are soothing to watch, and the quiet humming of the tank is calming... to a degree that makes most people who come over to visit me fall asleep at my house. I fucking kid you not.

They come over, sit on my bed, and start nodding off...

So if you've got that up and going now, I'd like to hear about how your sex life is doing. Hopefully if you've got them all hot and bothered, they stay that way once they hit the bedroom... Because bringing someone home just for them to fall asleep on you when you're looking for more has got to suck. And not in a wet, happy kind of way. :)

I'm curious to know how this project turned out... And after seeing you asking in other threads about twins' sexuality... and then realizing you are one... Gotta say, I'm curious about that too. :)

And just for the record... Men with fish are hot. I've never met a single fishkeeping dude who wasn't a bit freaky on the inside... and sexy on the outside. Most of them seem to like tattoos, for some reason, and all are a bit off the norm, which is always good.

I have found women prefer saltwater reef systems far more than a freshwater system. Especially at night under a blue light when the coral comes out to feed.

I, for one, think a planted freshwater takes the cake for sexy... Saltwater has neat stuff in it, but it's bright... and distracting. I think you want her thinking more about your cock than, "Oh, look it's NEMO!" :p

So my argument for planted freshwater: Things sneaking in and out of the plants, and the plants flowing in the current creates a sensual atmosphere... Plus, it doesn't have that BRIGHT feel of saltwater. It's more lush and dark... And if you're going for the night approach, moonlighting is awesome... The glow of blue lights on all the swaying plants. Ohhhhh yeah.

i think as long as you keep it clean and your bedroom is big enough where it doesn't seem cramped with the aquarium in it, i wouldn't have a problem with it. i usually date guys who are techie nerds so my situation is usually boys with rooms jam packed with electronics, too many monitors, speakers, etc. but fortunately, i'm a gadget nerd as well, so it doesn't bother me that much.

love a big fish tank! unfortunately i only have a little one.
can i come and hang out in front of yours when its done f?

If I wanted to do you an aquarium in your bed room would not make a difference. Might add to it with my lil but up against that cool glass......lmao
