....regarding my story in progress, a recent inspiration called "Albino Blues". There is a part where the leading character, a sexually confused woman, views a site that features Girl-Girl porn videos and becomes very aroused. I was wondering if it was legally safe to use the name of the film company she mentions frequently, Girlfriend Films, or not. For now, it's not named, as I am trying to err on the side of caution, vis a vis copyright infringement. I included what is clearly meant to be that company's films, however, since it seems like the sort of lesbian porn that would appeal to this particular woman, at least the way that Roxanne described it. Just a question.

The theme is an albino girl, living with her brother and his wife, who is unsure of whether she is bisexual or lesbian, while also struggling with trying to get out more to find a lover, without getting too much exposure to sunlight.

I'm PMing an email address, Sev. The mildly-predatory but essentially virtuous main character in several of my stories meets young women through her role as the "angel-investor" in "Lez! Productions," a studio producing high quality lesbian films very similar to the real "Girlfriend's Films." I mean, really, really similar. ;)

I wrote GF once to tell them that, and got a really nice, friendly reply. It appears that the studio is a small business owned by real people, good people. My guess is that they would enjoy what is essentially a free plug, but that's just a guess.

BTW, if your main character were a real person I would have the perfect candidate for a girlfriend. Her name is Sam and she lives in a crypt. Unfortunateley (except it's not unfortunate because your character is not a real person) Sam is in a committed relationship, and has a duty to provide "primal, honest-to-Goddess, feverish, ripped clothes, heart-pounding, hold-on-for-dear-life, hot and anxious, sweaty and breathless fuck me right now sex" to a needy goddess, on demand.

Have you been reading my journal again? ;)

Thank you very much. I was really trying to be careful, although I hoped that they would view it as positive feedback about their films. I figured that you would know, one way or the other, since you're the one who brought their films to my attention.

A little info (without giving too much away): her name is Ingrid Hansen, she's a 23 year old virgin (not a shock for a self-conscious albino), and she is from Canada's Scandinavian community in the "prairie province" of Alberta. There's a very good reason that I'm making her Canadian, as you'll see.

Got a reply from a woman at GF, thanks to the info in the PM that Roxanne sent me. She was very friendly and positive about it. She seemed to like the idea of the publicity indeed.
