Where do you buy your gear?

I'm talking about anything from clothes/lingerie to cuffs/ropes to crops/toys.

I want to start making my own little "play chest" but I don't want to end up on ebay bidding on some used sex swing.

I don't have money for big expensive things so I'm only really interested in buying basic stuff right now, however I want to start researching prices on all kinds of things.

Subs! If you also have a favorite brand of anything or store you like, please let me know!

Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated!!!:heart:

You can enjoy some homemade kinky stuff. Clothes pins, wooden spoons, and many more. If you'd like some rope to get started try the hardware store. If you're handy, a spreader bar is easy to make with eye hooks and a wooden dowel. There are lots of resources and instructions on how to make all kinds of stuff on a budget. (*^_^*)

Never thought of that, and I even consider my self creative! I'll definitely be Googling for some How-To's. :D

For crops, go to a tack and bridle shop. WAY cheaper than the fetish stores. Don't buy cheap floggers or whips. Save your money, buy one nice one to start off with. Same for cuffs. There are a lot of small vendors making quality stuff, with fair prices, on Fetlife.

I found that the best values in crops and similar devices were not at the tack and bridle shops but at stores that specialize in goods for farmers. There you can find a variety of fascinating little toys to use on your partner without paying any kind of premium that's charged to the well-to-do horsey set.

farm supply stores, farmers co-ops, hardware stores. Even Wal-mart has a store full of potential BDSM supplies. The only limit is your imagination. The average residential kitchen is filled with things that make one say, "Hmmm, I wonder..."

Thank you all very much. Come to think of it, the last time I was in Tractor Supply my imagination did start going places... ;)
