Not sure what the half life of a KFC is.
Give it a few more years to be on the safe side.

It is a well known fact that you can tell a person's age by whether they care about sell-by dates.
Young people believe that food becomes toxic at midnight on the specified date.
The more mature regard the whole thing as a good way of getting food at half price, and that nothing is beyond redemption if it stll looks OK after you have scraped the green bits off.
Our young technician at work will not use milk bought the previous day, whereas I know that if you can get it out of the bottle without needing a spoon, it's still OK for coffee.

I don't even think it is safe to eat KFC 30 seconds after pulling out of the drive-thru!!
