A few days ago, I submitted my information to join the volunteer editor program. In the members section, it states I should receive confirmation within 24 hours. Since I haven't as of yet, should I resubmit the information?

I wouldn't resubmit - Literotica's idea of time is not quite on the same planet as the rest of us. If you haven't heard in a week, try sending a PM to Laurel.

Don't wait. Hang your shingle in this forum now and start grabbing some of the writers who are asking for editorial help. Sooner or later - 24 hours, days or weeks, you'll get the confirmation email and be an "official" litvoled. (I made that word up - worship me.)

Just grab some writers and go. There is no shortage of writers in need of some help.

You'll become "official" sometime between now and the year 2525. In the meantime, go ahead and respond to posts seeking editors, or post your own notice volunteering your services.

It took six months for my submission to be accepted .

Somehow my profile got caught in the cache or perhaps they just didn't like me. I suspect that they did something system wide because there was a mass flood of updated profiles around that time and I ended up on page 7 within a day of being accepted.

I would recommend you take kbate's advice (always take kbate's advice ... ) and just jump on in.
