I just received this email, and was wondering if any authors here knew anything about this person/project, 'TXTGASM'? Looks like the site is www.txtgasm.com

Lisa Summers - My name is Hampton and I'm hoping I can get your help. Many years ago, before the web was filled with video-porn, I used to read a bunch of online sources of "erotic fiction." And, I still read them today. Except, the websites are *exactly* the same as they were in 1996. No one has done anything interesting or modern in "erotic fiction" in a long time. So, being a web developer by profession, I decided to stop complaining and do something about it. For the past couple weeks I've been working non-stop in my spare time on a new site: Txtgasm (cute name, right?) Basically, the pitch is that users can post, edit, review, rate, read, and recommend stories to each other. And, I'm hoping if we get enough information, that we can do some really cool "recommendation" stuff so that the site will figure out what your tastes are! Cool, right? The only problem is... an empty site isn't very interesting. So, I looked around the web for authors that I thought would be a good fit for the site. And, I came across your stories and I was hoping that you'd be willing to license your story as Creative Commons (attribution, share-alike) which basically means that you say its ok to use your story as long as they give you credit and whatever they do with it has to be Creative Commons. Doing this helps protect you, as an author, and helps to allow reasonable-use of your hard work. Lots of creative people today are using the Creative Commons license, so that's why I went with it! All you have to do is click the link... which I setup so that you don't even have to signup or anything. It is all magically easy! Click here to read the terms: http://www.txtgasm.com/authors/permission/terms?auth_token=AbM5TKA0gXug_-6v-396&user_id=xxx Thanks! Hampton PS: I know an email is pretty annoying, but its better than me violating the copyright! If we don't hear back from you in 10 days, we'll just assume you said no! PPS: If you have any questions or need clarification, or want to yell at me or anything, then just respond to this email. Yes, I'm a real person!

Very simply, you agree that you are above 18 years old, you have the right to license the below-listed works, and you agree to license them as Creative Commons 3.0 (attribution, share-alike) That link has all the details. Also, you agree to allow us to remove your legal notices and non-story related notes so that we can make the license clearer and the story easier to read. Oh, and that you agree that the work is legal to be viewed by adults in the United States. Pretty simple.

This agreement and license encompasses the following stories:

*About 12 of my stories are listed*

Oh, and I promise to not be evil. That's my kind of legalese. Straightforward. ;)

There was a Canadian e-pubber that went through here a couple of years ago soliciting business with similar wording.

Although it hasn't happened for a year or more, I've been solicited to provide material for other sites--five, as I remember (an offshoot of LustyLibrary, Gaydemon, a literary site I didn't bite on so I don't remember the name, a German dating site that wanted to add story content--and pay for filling an initial file, and one arising from posters here that lasted only a couple of months). But they were personal pitches and directly indexed the stories of mine that were like what they wanted. All five panned out to be reputable and three paid for stories. Others might have the same experience.

This one you cite sounds too hazy and rambling to be attractive or reputable, though, I'd think.
