FWIW - I submitted a story yesterday and it has 36 views although still pending. So the bug (if that is what it is) is not in fact fixed.

I always assumed the pre-approval views were by trusted members taken on to vet submissions before they go public. Surely someone has to do that?

Yeah they do and it is all done by one woman, Laurel, the site owner. She looks at every story that gets posted here.

And people wonder why she walks around petting a fish.
