Question About Lit: any suggestions?

When I tab "yes" under "Use email notification by default" on the "Options" page, I get hundreds of emails in my account... which is a pain.

But if I tab "no" I miss threads I've replied to, because they don't show up on my "subscribed threads" list.

So... is there any way to automatically subscribe to threads I've posted on, without getting messages about it in my email?

I suspect the answer is "no," but I just wanted to check.

no you cant, when you subscribe to a thread or turn on email notification in a post in that thread, you will receive an email confirming there has been a post reply in that thread.

The answer is no.

My best advice to perhaps write down the names of the threads and do a search on them periodically.

Or,

when you come on line, do a search of your own posts to check in on the threads you have been involved in.

Then, you will be able to read them or leave them if you wish.

Create a "subscription" folder in your favorites and add threads you want to follow to your favorites.

Harold that is a magnificent idea. I can't believe I didn't think of it to suggest (ask Sandia about my psychotically organized favorites folder)!

Nora has a wonderfully organized favorites folder. But then, she has an organized life.

Me, on the other hand... I've got so much crap stuffed in there, I'm afraid to open it anymore... It's easier to just google for things at this point... except google's in there too... somewhere...

I think I'll try Miss T's idea... at least until I find out what happens when you press the "organize" tab...

yes you can subscribe to a thread itself

but you will get an email everytime someone replies to it, so its not good for a popular thread.

however if its a quite thread its great

and if you subscribe to a thread you can check it out in your subscribed threads list at any time.

I have a seperate email inbox folder, that I have all the emails from lit sent to. That away I don't have to go through them, I just delete the whole folder once a week or so, and can still subcribe to threads.
