question about halowween contest deadline

I submit a halloween contest story, deadline was yesterday midnight, it got sent back because of two versions.
I delete one then resubmit before deadline but its still showing pending. am i too late?

Check if there’s a date showing on the bottom line. It’ll show as pending up until it goes live but if you see a date at the bottom, it’s been approved and it will appear on that day .- tomorrow maybe

Are you resubmitting an old story? Stories in the comp need to be new submissions, reworks of old stories is not in the spirit of the comp really.

I think OP is saying that they accidentally double-submitted the same story and then had to delete one of the duplicates.
