Question about feedback...

Okay, so recently I've received two positive feedbacks within a few days of each other, both of them rating at 100 on the little thermometer thing. Now, with that first such feedback, my rating went down two points from 4.76 to 4.74. With the second feedback, my rating remained the same. Which leads me to ask, are ratings based on thermometer levels or the 1 to 5 scale?

No, babe, the thermometer has absolutely nothing to do with your rating.

The thermometers don't affect your score, Bridget.

They're just something attached to the public comment to tell you how the respondent rated your story.

Only votes affect your score. Look at the number of votes. That tells the story more clearly.

The themometer thingy means nothing, NOTHING, NOTHING!

Something tells me that a good number of people who fill out a Public Comment set the themometer and don't vote, thinking that they already have.

Yeah, that rating system is kind of confusing with its two methods of scoring.

Soime people don't notice that the thermometer has a default setting so you can have a complimentary comment and a thermometer setting of 50%. They can't change it if they have made a mistake.

Ignore the thermometer and read the words. Only votes count towards the ratings.
