question about circumsision

Well to add to the debate, I didn't get circumcised till I was 32. This was due to scarring building up as my foreskin kept tearing, till eventually I did lose sensation because my foreskin wouldn't retract.
Since I've had it done I've noticed a great difference in the way I feel about my body my peis looks better, i feel more than before and my wife says she prefers it.
But in saying that I wouldn't let my baby son be circumcised I' wait till he grew up and decided for himself. But then again thats just my opinion.
There you go then cheyenne thats my contribution Merry Christmas......

I volunteer to help Ollie pass out. Line forms behind me.

Looks like you're the only one in line, WS, but that may be for the best. Once I've passed out from your ministrations, who knows how long it would take me to regain consciousness? or even if I ever would? I wouldn't want to disappoint the ladies.

ok... i'm ready. just make sure I don't bang my head when I hit the floor.

Oliver, you darling man, there were plenty of other women there, but for some reason (maybe it was the giant stick I was slapping repeatedly in my palm and the threatening look on my face), they deigned not to line up. <shrugs innocently>

Now, settle yourself on some pillows and prepare to pass out as you've never passed out before.

Thank you

I will bring it up to my wife tonight, and now i have a little more information. Before I was leaning towards cut, but now I am enlightened and know all the facts. My opinion is to leave him intact. I will consult with my wife, and hopefully post the outcome, if i get the chance

Thanks again

I just had a son and had him circumsised. I think most men want them to "look like Daddy" so it's easier to explain things later on. If it makes you feel any better he cried about 30 seconds and was back to sleep with no problems before he even made it back to my room. We chose to because my dad had the tearing problem mentioned earlier. For the record he wishes they would have done it at birth so he did not have to face it as an adult. It did not seem to be a big deal for my boy, HONEST. NOW MY C-Section THAT was a big deal!

We had my son circumcised for religious reasons - if it is done correctly by someone properly trained there should be no problems. I think the biggest problem was my fear when it was being done. He was slightly sedated after sucking on a piece of gauze soaked in wine - he cried for about 30 seconds and it was over. If you are going to do it make sure it is for all the right reasons - especially health ones. There is no right or wrong on this subject only one's preference.

Jewish

I do beilieve the jewish's do it for religious perpous....BUt if you feel you want your son to have the cut ...So to speak talk to your doctor get info on it ....It helps with knowledge

To Cut or Not to Cut...?

Try http://www.noharmm.org/anatomy htm. I've used it for story research and found it informative. As for the smegma issue, this is a result of natural skin lubricants and is not exclusive to males. The folds of the female vulva also contain glands that secrete these necessary emollients. Soap and water is the unisex solution. Congrats!

Circumcision is not the norm in England, nor I suspect anywhere else in Europe. Whilst there are good reasons to be circumcised, don't think that any actually apply for most US citizens. Basically it runs like this; "are you jewish or belong to any another religion which traditionally requires this operation?" and "are you likely to get an infection down there?" If the answer is no then it's probably best not to.

Judgmental? Me? You are so dumb for saying that!:)

This is something that I think that I can speak of
with experience.I wasn't circumsised as a child because
of a clotting problem! My foreskin was short enough that
when I had an erection you could hardly tell that I
wasn't circumsised.I masturbated often in my teenage yrs.
and often(daily)as an adult.I am probably what would be
referred to as a clean freak. My wife and I almost daily
had mutual masturbation sessions. In my 30s I started to
get a rash.I went to a Dr.(that I knew)and he immediatly
knew what it was.I wish that I could remember the name.
He said that no matter how clean one keeps himself, thata
rash occurs. He knew what it was immediatly.Thats how often
it occurs.I had to be circumsised at the approx. age of 35.
There is no difference in the sensitivity(that I can feel)
and if I had to do it again ;I can assure you;it would be
at an earlier age.I am Catholic and have been married for
35yrs.Luckily my wife and I have no secrets from each other.
I have 2 daughters;one has a circumsised son and the other
has 2uncircumsised sons. They are all Baptised catholics.
