Question about Anal

My wife and I regularly indulge in anal pleasure, the answer is a definite YES... let me tell you why !
During our first year together, we went bareback when it came to anal. Having said that, we maintained a fairly strict hygiene regime when it came to afterwards... including making sure I went pee, this to ensure anything "undesireable" was flushed out of my urethra.
However, one night, I had had a little to drink and "forgot" about my hygiene routine... Not a prob I thought in the morning, I'll just do it now !
All was well for about a week, and then I started feeling not so well... After another couple of days of feeling really grotty, I ended up collapsing and being rushed by ambulance to hospital. There, they found I had a massive bladder infection which required IV antibiotics and a week long stay in hospital. I think my temperature spiked at about 109 (yes, one hundred and nine) and at one stage it was dubious whether I would survive...
After I left the hospital, it took a further three weeks for me to recover sufficiently to go back to work... I can think of better ways of having a month off work....
We do now sometimes let "passion" take charge and go bareback, but if we do, then its back to heavy duty washing and making absolutely sure I pass water afterwards....

Aegis is right- if you're not going to clean up afterwards, use a condom. If you're not in a monogmas relationship (or aren't sure you are) use a condom.
Many STD's can be trasmitted analy as well as vaginally. Better safe then sorry.
Just remember, bareback or comdom clad- lube is always a must.

My wife and I don't use one during anal.
two things:
You don't store anything 'dirty' in your rectum (the last 5-6" of your colon)
and if you use plenty of lube it keeps you pretty clean anyway. Now with that said my wife and I have been together for 15 years and have no issues about STDs or infidelity.
If you have concerns in these areas then yes use a condom, don't risk it you are more likely to contract something anally.
