i overheard someone at the mall say that today. i was in the expencive ass cooking store that has a saucepan for $80 and i heard this.

guy 1 - i told you queers cant cook. thats why you never see them in here.

guy 2 - that doesnt mean anything.

guy 1 - my cousin is a queer and he cant cook worth shit.

to battle this i want to know can you cook?

what can you cook well.

i know i can cook well and love to do so. share your stories and recipes.

Maybe we're not in there because we have more sense than to be spending $80 on a pan.

Just maybe.

(That being said, I own some expensive pots and pans)

Anyway, yes, I can cook. Quite well. My dad was a chef, and I picked up some of his talent.

Well...I have a 'thing' for nice (mostly expensive) kitchen items. IF I'm going to cook, I want to use the easiest thing & what is best for *me*. I am a good cook when I am in the mood.

My partner does the cooking & she is fabulous! Lucky for that - or i might starve.

So, that's my personal lesbian info. Now, for the men I know - HOLY SHIT!!! Can they ever cook?!?!

my step-monsters uncle did her wedding cake - amazing!

3 different couples that I know are all fabulous! They have parties all the time and just ask people to bring drinks. You can always count on the most exquisite finger foods, quiches, pastries, omg...lucky me, one couple is having a party next weekend!!!!

Oh - then there is my cousin - for X-Mas every year he makes different truffles, etc. His specialty is desserts.

So, YES queers can cook...in and OUT of the kitchen! :D

Funny you'd kind of figure of figure cooking would fit in with the metrosexual/clean house/fancy foods gay stereotype. Go figure, I can cook ramen!

Heh, the queers probably designed most of what's for sale in that store.

I am a very good cook.

I don't believe either stereotype. My dad can cook and he's not gay. And I'm sure there are plenty of gay guys who can't cook.

I scalded myself making ramen. I tried to saute some garlic and I made a very nice fireball. Nope, I definitely can't cook.

Well, my laptop needed cleaning anyway. :D This made me lose my Diet Dew - tff!! (The vision of the sweet girl <you> in the photos with a fireball on the stove...too much!)

AAAHAHAHA!!! You can't even boil water for noodles! OMG, that's so funny!

Sad...but funny.

I'd like to think i'm fairly competent in the kitchen. I can turn out a nice stir fry, i think. AND i can grill chicken (or something else, i suppose) while making rice at the same time. I know, it is impressive, isn't it?

I really enjoy cooking for someone, or cooking with someone. It feels very productive to me, even if you're just helping each other make a meal out of a box.
