Quasi-realistic nymphomania stories?

We have, I'm sure, lot's of stories that feature characters described as nymphomaniacs.

However, I'm equally sure most of them don't deal with it realistically.

That is, a nymphomaniac isn't just a "slut" who enjoys sex more than most people. A nymphomaniac, or hypersexual as is, IIRC, the current uni-sex term, is someone who is mwntally, as much an addict as any junkie; horribly depressed and miserable when not having sex, but largely unable to enjoy it either, requiring huge amounts of sex in order to feel anything even remotely resembling pleasure or release.

I can see such a story written two ways:

One as erotic horror, as a hypersexual woman(man) debases and debauches herself(hiself) with meaningless sex act after meaningless sex act but feels nothing.

The other is as romance, when a man(woman) falls in love with a hypersexual woman(man) and, through his(her) love, helps her(him) get past her(his) addiction to sex.

I could see it as a sexual version of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," with the evil persona always trying to come out, as the wholesome persona tries desparately to contain it......Carny

I think this could be a good story line to describe essentially an addict's descent. The idea I was thinking of could be in either erotic horror or nonhuman. Basically the story would go that somebody seeks out sexual pleasure with wherever and from whoever they can get it. This person practices magic and in an attempt at an unbelievable high conjures an incubus/succubus. The high from this other wordly/magical sex is so strong that nothing on earth can match it leading the main character to descend into deeper depths and darkness.

I believe Dr. Mabeuse's latest story, The Devil's Lesson, deals with similar themes like desires and wants no longer fulfillable and what tolls they can take.

You could also go for Erotic Horror/Sci-fi/Nonhuman with a twist, and while the woman gets herself into more and more degrading or over-the-top situations in hopes of finding something she can be satisfied with, she ends up falling prey to some kind of tentacle demon/alien who preys on unsuspecting women and uses them for its pleasure. Of course, in this case, she finds her "one true love" as it were, finally finding a lover that can satisfy her needs. In later chapters, she might help the monster find more victims (or perhaps even like-minded hypersexuals similar to herself), or helps to defend the monster from a well-meaning hero/heroine hoping to vanquish the beast.
