quadriplegic?

As a person confined to a wheelchair and totally paralyze, I would really enjoy reading a story about a quadriplegic male enticing a woman to have sex with him. I have been able to share some of my experiences with people verbally, however, my writing skills are not up to a high enough level to put it down on paper.

Please excuse any errors in this post. I am using voice-activated software and it occasionally makes errors which I do not always catch when I peruse the document on the computer.

While the idea entices me Bill, I'm not sure I know enough about being quadriplegic to be able to tell a story accurately. To be honest, I have never even known a quadriplegic on a personal level (not by choice or anything...just the way the ball has bounced).

I think it would be interesting to hear YOUR story. I know you think your skills aren't up to par....but that is what our volunteer editing program is all about.

If you are interested in writing your own story, please feel free to PM me and perhaps we can work out a co-writing situation (you would write the story and I would edit it and make some changes that we would both agree on).

Bill, as a person who has a brother who is a paraplegic but not a quad, I have to ask if it is realistic to have any sort of sex, enjoyable or not. Even in fantasy. I know with my brother, it is not possible to obtain an erection with his particular injury.

If you want to write the story or need input, I'll be happy to try to help you, but I'm not a writer myself. I can only offer the chance to add realistic things should you want or need them.

Yeah, I think more information is needed.

Please excuse me, if this questions seem stupid to you, or if I am the 1000th person who asks you, but:

What about feelings ? I mean, physical feelings. I guess you still feel it, if someone pinches your leg ? Or, to say it in Lit-Style what do you feel if a person has sex with you ?

Of course, all of this is presuming that the 'sex' involved necessarily involves penis-in-vagina. I admit to having little to no knowledge of the reality of this kind of disability, but I do tend to fall on the side of not-all-sex-has-to-be-intercourse-to-be-sex. If I were in such an unfortunate state, and not able to have an orgasm or even an erection, I'm not sure that would stop me from wanting to give oral sex to my mate. There's a certain pleasure to be had in just giving someone else pleasure, and it's also kind of empowering, which would have all the more meaning in a situation where one would be very powerless.

that's quite true. I once knew this girl, and she allowed me to touch her boobs. She got horny, and so she allowed me to put my hand into her pants. I fingered her until she had an orgasm. Nothing else happened. She didn't touch me (and neither did I), but when she climaxed, I was really happy, just because she allowed me to bring her to an orgasm ....

great questions

Let me start by saying, wow, I didn't expect such great questions and responses. Unfortunately, right now I'm supposed to be researching and writing a 25 page history research paper, but I feel a little desultory, currently. :) I will try to answer all of the questions and if I fail to you can address those.

I almost forgot to apologize for not being on here sooner, but I was at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers losing effort yesterday. What a sad thing. To start with, quadriplegics are lucky enough to have the ability to get and maintain erections, although, it must be noted that every Quad is different. I myself am not able to get the erections as well as I used to, because of medication. The blue pill helps find. As far as feeling goes, mine is rather diminished, however, I do have pretty good sensation around the urethra. I am pretty sure I am not able to have a orgasm. I have had the opportunity to enjoy penis and vaginal sexual relations, although, at the time I wasn't able to maintain the erection well enough (before Viagra). Also, erections are typically achieved by manipulation or as a reflex. Many quads, including myself, get erections just because we're having muscle spasms.

As far as giving, I really do enjoy having oral sex with my partner. I personally receive an unbelievable amount of satisfaction at being able to please her. I learned shortly after my accident (bicycle) that sex is actually in the mind more than it is in the organs. Yes it is true, my body does not experience the extraordinary satisfaction that an able-bodied person does, however, I do have a sort of orgasmic sensation with even sensual touching around my neck and face, not to mention when my partner experiences and orgasm. Similar to a site impaired person, I have heightened senses in areas unaffected by my paralysis (shoulders up). On that thread, I went to a strip bar a few months ago and the girl got up on my wheelchair and needless to say I had a face full of pussy. And let me tell you, it was fantastic. Sometimes I get away with things that able-bodied men are not able to.

It is more interesting for me to entice someone into striping or any other act which they would normally not do with someone else or at least they are very shy about it. I have an advantage because my arms are usually strapped when I'm in the wheelchair and therefore I did not pose a threat to the woman. You would not believe the amount of smiles I get from women now in contrast to prior to injury. The neighbors around my house tell me things they don't typically tell other men and believe me I flirt a lot also.

I have heard from some quadriplegics who are able to maintain erections with no difficulty and have orgasm. There was even one who masturbated frequently. Oh, I didn't explain, some quadriplegics do have use of their arms and even limited use of their hands. A quadriplegic is someone which experienced paralysis from an injury in the cervical spine. There are even quadriplegics which can walk, but do not have use of their hands. Although, I typically view quadriplegics in the traditional sense. I unfortunately do not have any use of anything below my shoulders, much like Christopher Reeve. I also, so far, am not been able to achieve a traditional orgasm. I am trying to remember all of the questions, but my mind is rather ephemeral at times. I hope I have been somewhat successful.

I think I have failed to answer some of the questions, but if you're still interested, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am not sure if I have the PM ability, but you can e-mail me at bkimberlin@yahoo.com and I will try to answer any questions. I really am not shy about going over some of my experiences, no matter how limited. I did try to write a voyeuristic story about me and two lesbians. It was a true story, however, I know I failed dismally to convey what actually occurred.

I attempted to write this as quickly as possible and be inclusive. With that in mind, my voice program has some limitations and at times you will see words which shouldn't be there and sometimes words are missing. I apologize in advance, but I did not take the opportunity to print this out and really proofread it, so I beg your indulgence.

sensation

hello everyone,
I forgot to indicate whether I had sensation below the level of my injury. The answer is yes I do, however, it is most assuredly not exactly the same as before. I can feel like touching more than I can heavy-handed touching.

Ooh it's been a while since I've been in here. The main reason I'm here now is because I was directed by a good friend familiar with my situation (who isn't?) and has experience themselves.

Couple of things.

My own experience is with quadraplegic spasticity. (spastic movement from all four limbs) There is however in this case a certain amount of fine and gross motor control (sorry to get medical on your ass, think of fine as fingers and gross as biceps) so there is a hell of a lot of leeway to be had in writing a character with this 'different ability', in the case I'm familiar with. I've witnessed many erections, much in the way of when you wake in the morning 'piss proud' as they say. (One of the reasons you have erotic dreams just before waking. It brings you out of sleep and stops you pissing the bed [but that's my own theory])

As BillPaul mentioned viagra is available if you're looking for realism.

On the other hand, who needs realism in stroke? If you're looking to write a story specifically including BillPaul then even if you get the facts correct you're never going to be able to write about the guy himself, because you don't know him.

With this in mind, I'd say that judging by your posts Bill you'd probably write as good a story as many that are posted on Lit and probably a hell of a lot better than some.

This is a very intriguing idea, especially since, as has been mentioned, the lack of perceived threat from someone in BillPauls condition.

If anyone does write this be prepared for an almighty backlash from the "you are sick" feedbackers.

Great idea Bill, maybe a collaboration is what's needed? Anyone up for that?

I was looking over what you wrote and I recall a friend of mine saying that once she took care of a WWII vet that had lost his arms and legs to frostbite

maybe you should talk to her. Her Lit user name is landiek.

Good luck

I actually have a story that is about 75% finished about a woman who gets hit on by a para. At first she is resistant but he wins her over and then proceeds to blow her mind. (I'm simplifying a little here, but you get the idea.) Anyway, I wrote most of it nearly a year ago and it's been shelved for a while as I got to point with it where I was 'blocked' but I'm thinking it's maybe time to take it out, dust it off and move forward...

About the physical aspect of a quad having sex, it is usually not possible because most are paralyzed from the waist down. However, the point was brought up about the sex not having to be penis/vagina and it reminded me of a movie. "Breaking the Waves"? Does that sound right? Can't remember for sure. Anyway, the guy gets injured and can't have sex so he asks her to go out and have sex with other men then come back and relay her experiences to him.

I'm sure someone more clinically knowledgeable will correct me if I'm wrong but being paralyzed from the waist down is Hemiplegia. Apart from which I'm pretty sure that being paralyzed from the waist down doesn't necessarily mean that an erection isn't possible (I know you didn't say this) just the feeling of it.

Gauche

Hemipeligia would be a side being paralyzed. What I meant was that a quad would be from the waist down along with his/her arms and probably neck. Most times they are not paralyzed in the torso so much because that would mean death. Christopher Reeve is a good example of that actually because he needed (still needs a lot of the time) machines to help breathe and such.
Anyway, I'm not positive but I think you are right in that an erection is possible but it would be pretty pointless for the man since he would feel anything and most likely wouldn't even know he had an erection.
Just my opinion but I think in this case the best way to go with the story would be to have them engage in something other than normal intercourse. Of course I've been called an idiot on more than one occassion. LOL

Hmm intense subject

I took care of a gentleman that lost his arms and legs to frostbite during world war II

Even though he was an older gentleman, he did have moments that having an erection was very painful for him and since he had problems with having a u-tube made it even more painful.

After long talks with his doctor, the catheder was removed. One of my new duties was to give him some form of relief. Knowing that he sometimes had blood in his urine I was hesistant to giving him any oral relief and that might put my job at risk. Since he had no hands or fingers it was impossible for him to "jack- off"

During the next five months I eased his erections with my own hand following his instructions.

Three days before his death he admitted that he wished just once to make love again. I don't regret the choice I made either.

After consulting his doctor I made one night into his fantasy from the food we ate and the drinks that were drank. Though I did not respond as much as he did. I felt glad to have honored someone that had given so much to serve our country.

At the funeral I was approached by the doctor who examined him. He remarked that Mr C. died from his cancer and not any vigerous sex. I thanked him and requested that it be kept quiet since I had no clue how his family would react.

I received a letter from his Step-Daughter. "Thanks for making Daddie's last days better. I was surprised to hear his entry on the cassette about having sex with his nurse girl. Yet you made his dream come true.. may God help you acheive yours."

I had no idea that he kept a journel on cassette but I was glad that his family was okay with what I chose to do.

Would I do it again if I came across another person in that circumstances? I don't know.. I never took care of someone that was terminal after that because my Mother's health started going downhill due to her diabetis and poor blood circulation.

That is an amazing story. You are an amazing person.

Gauche

and happy birthday

Thanks for the ideas

I'm amazed at the amount of thought that went into some of the posts. I was particularly moved by landiek and her touching moment. I unfortunately was working on improving the incipient stage of my software training. I'm hoping my voice software is working a little better than it was before. I was using a very old version of NaturallySpeaking and have recently upgraded. Anyway, as far as quadriplegics having erections, it is extremely possible. It is more possible for a quadriplegic to have an erection than a paraplegic. As far as sensation, this is up to the individual. Each person who suffers from quadriplegia has different sensation. Mine is considerably different than preinjury, but I know when I am having an erection and having someone intimately stroke me is very arousing. I had one particular nurse who was rather fond of me in the hospital and she did lend a hand. I was not able to achieve any type of orgasm, but the sensation and act was extraordinarily gratifying.

I happened to know one individual that is paralyzed from the neck down, just like me, and is also on a ventilator. This particular person is not only able to achieve an erection when he wants, but he is so sensitive that he is able to ejaculate. Please remember not every quadriplegic is the same. By the way, I really loved the very positive and thoughtful comments which came from this particular post. I will be graduating from my university this semester and I will start to dedicate some of my time to writing. I believe I will start on my own story, with the help of some very nice people on this particular site.
Bill
PS please forgive all of the errors, but I was in a hurry to finish this before the hurricane knocks out my electricity. That's right this is the third hurricane we have dealt with in the Tampa area.

Hey sug ... how is the story going, nowadays?

I'm waiting to hear from you!

This reminds me a lot of Frank Moore (http://www.eroplay.com), who although is not a quadripalegic or even parapalegic, is confined to a wheelchair due to cerebal palsy. And yet he has his own sex TV show on public access.

I'm intrigued by this thread beyond words. I'll try to post later after I get off work. Human beings are amazing at their ability to adapt.

Interesting

I am 29 years old, have duchenne md. I am 5'7 tall and 80 pounds, severly disabled in a wheelchair and quadriplegic like state, but have full body feeling. I am cute, so people say, but I look like I am 15 years old. I have never been in a sexual setting, or even masturbated, as my hands-arms won't work with me. I can get and maintain hard erections with ease, but no relief.

I would like to read some stories with disabled males being helped sexually, like from nurses or married women.

Been there and done that. I never wrote about it for the sake of the gentleman that I cared for. I sympathize with your condition and pray that you find someone that cares enough to overlook what you might not have to find the treasures that you do have and enjoy to the fullest!

When I get a little more time I might try to explain some of the things that have happened to me. In the meantime, I would suggest going to http://www.makoa.org/quadlist.htm
and think about communicating with a couple of hundred other quadriplegics. I know you will find some that will be willing to share some of their experiences.
