personally i would have to agree with most of the people here use of the word cunt or pussy would have to depend on the charater and situation. a back ally quicky with a hooker or a drunken bar bathroom fuck would almost demand the use of the word cunt. where as a romantic setting or even a virgin haveing her cherry picked would use the word pussy. just my two cents worth.

Languages are interesting. Mandarin has one word, bi (pronounced bee), for cunt. There is no equivalent for pussy. There is no alternative term or character combination, at all. A gynecologist would tell a woman, we need examime your "bi" in Mandarin.

So, you have it. Cunt it is.

The greatest insult you can offer in Mandarin is "shabi" which literally translates to "stupid cunt" in English. Even Chinese women will use the slur if angry enough.

In the absence of a less vulgar term classic Chinese literature depended on metaphor such as "The Jade Door" or "Jade Gate" to describe the cunt/pussy/twat/vagina, etc.,.Context was of no consequence. Of course, modern Chinese literature is not so circumspect.

I've never really liked using either when I've written erotica. Cunt just sounds rude/harsh like several people have commented and pussy, to me, has always sounded to adolescent or slang-ish.

I like to use more descriptive words when describing it, "like sliding into her wet opening" or "parting her to slip in." Basically dancing around the words instead of using them

I like both pussy and cunt in most situations, but (according to the show "The Vagina Monologues" there are something like 300 names for the part of the female anatomy that I personally adore. It's ok to throw in twat or slit or slot or fuck hole or whatever comes into mind for the scene at hand. Sometimes it should be cute and loving like "honey hole" or "wet womanhood" or 'sugar slit" or some of those euphemistic sorts of things. Sometimes it should have more of a hard edge and cunt or twat is best there. It's better to have somone "pounding her soaking cunt" than her "slippery sugar slit", but sometimes mixing the hard with the innocent works.

Whatever, never use words like penis or vagina unless perhaps you're writing a story about the first time innocent young people are trying to figure out what to do for the first time. Then maybe those "TV approved" doctor approved words would work the mood well.

When I write, I try to mix the graphic and hardcore with sensitivity and insight. I hope it works. I've only had one story posted here (Blindfold Birthday) and another pending (Velvet Taboo), but I'm working on another as we speak. I'm new to this site, but years ago, I had several storyies pubished in Penthouse Forum and Variations magazines, and I used to write them privately for women friends. That's why I try to be graphic as possible but still sensitive to human emotion. I've found that women respond best to that.

It depends very much on mood and context.

I detest hearing the word used crudely or gratuitously, although I'm not squeamish about hearing it used sparingly in authoritative hands. But in a sexual context, again used skilfully, I think the word cunt has a visceral erotic power and female authenticity.

During sex, if my partner or I use any word for that part of our anatomies, it will be cunt. Anything else is too flippant, baby-ish, or anatomical. But cunt feels sexual and real.

In erotic literature, I dislike pussy - it's too naff, too euphemistic, and too unbelievable. Again, used only when really needed, the c word carries the greatest power.

If I have a word in mind when I reflect on my own genitals, I will probably think either of my vagina, or yes, my cunt.
