One of my guilty pleasures, when I'm doing some story brainstorming, is to peruse old pulp fiction book covers or cover art. It was some great sexy stuff. Lots of fun ideas. If I ever get to publishing where I need a book cover, I'd love to find someone who can do this sort of stuff.

I have been told that AI is actually pretty good at making these kind of images. The name of this style is unknown to me too.

It's called pulp fiction art? I don't think it's really gone anywhere, it's just kept up with the times. It has a review instead of a byline, but I have this book and it seems to carry on the style.
