OK, so I admit -- I'm not as technologically advanced as I claim to be. And right now, I'm trying to figure out how to pull a couple of my stories off the site, the reason being that I feel stupid about the way I ended the latest one. Am I allowed to pull a story out (or at least, the last chapter of a story) for that reason? If so, how do I go about doing it?

I tried searching for a similar thread, but... it wasn't really useful o_O

SO...any help, guys?

Lillian.

The easy and perhaps only way to remove or revise a story is to PM Laurel.

You can submit a second version to replace the first, as I recall.

Just start a new submission, using the same title of the story/chapter ( or as much as will fit ) plus something similar to *DELETE*

Then, fill in everything else with placeholders, until you reach story text and moderator's notes.

In both places, just note that you want to delete the story/chapter. Just for clarity's sake and no chance of misunderstanding, you could copy the Lit ID# ( the number at the end of the URL when you view the first page of your story ) in the delete note.

Technically, it will take as long for the delete to go through as a normal submission. I have seen edits to existing stories go through quite quickly of late, though -- as much as six chapters, all at once, after only two days.

Just an alternative thought, but if you want to retain views, votes, and comments, you can submit a revised version in the same way, by putting Edit at the end of the title and the new version of the story in the story field. The new version will replace the old version, but everything else will be retained.
