Lots of people read Mrs. Giggles. Not sure how many heed her reviews, though.

well that's good to know, considering my dismal scores... lol

Somehow, I have a hard time imagining your scores as being anywhere near dismal.... :D

I'll never consider trying to get my stories published - I write mainly for myself and they are pretty near the knuckle but I think on a site like this you can give free reign to the imagination so I'm posting the ones I think might interest others.

But as for trying to get them published, no they aren't good enough.

With all the talk of people submitting work to online publishers, it leads me to ask the question, am I the only one here who has no real interest in becoming published?

Its okay if a person does not want to publish (some just enjoy the write, although in this case I do take contention with those who post to Lit and say they don't want to be published) :catroar: ). Nonetheless ... :D

I'd love to be published. Blockbuster novel style. :) I have an idea, but what about talent (and commitment)? :p

I don't think I could give the promotion time it sounds like e-publishing requires.

I know I'll never make my living as a writer, and I'm fine with that. I enjoy writing my little tales, and there are people who enjoy reading them. For me, that's enough. It's more than I had ever dreamed possible before beginning to write.

So why do you take contention with someone like me?

Not with you, but your point. You do "publish" on Lit, after all, no? Therefore you publish for an audience and should not be upset about bad reviews... :D

Well, there are people here that would argue that submitting at Lit is not publishing. Personally, I do believe that it is publishing in the broadest sense.

I should have probably used the phrase 'commerical publishing' or something along that lines.

ETA: I don't mind bad reviews, as long as they are constructive.

Constructive meaning, "I GOT OFF?"
