Publishing Delay

I have had a three-part story and a short story sitting in the Pending file for a month. This is the second time I have submitted the long story, and I'm disappointed that there has been no response to my enquiries. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a glitch in the system?
I've never had to wait this long for one of my stories to be published.
