"Pubic Comments"

Anybody know anything about this new feature?? And when it is going to be activated?

It takes awhile to click on 175 poems. :) And it is frustrating to have all the "on" box clicks not take.

It's active now--kind of in beta sorta.

I have my comments turned on.

I forgot to click "save changes", but it is NOT all my fault! ;) I started from the bottom up. - And that was because I was looking to see if an alphabet tail-ender had its edited version accepted yet. I was also hoping to get it accepted into the holiday contest when I first submitted the edited form, but the server inspired logjam put the kibosh on that I guess. The poem has just been fixed today. (Please note that I do not blame Laurel for the delay. She does a marvelous job of adapting my Word docs so that the HTML forms appear with the spacing formats that I desire.) :rose:  :rose:

Click on Merry Christmas below to view it. :)

Regards, Rybka

Well, Rybka. I just used the "public comment" option for "Merry Christmas". Let's see what happens now.

:D

I love it BTW.

HOORAY!! HOORAY!! I GOT ONE!

How did you do the thermometer thingy?? - Thanks for the vote too!!! :) :)
Now I have to go find an active poem to comment on. :)

No it's not!

Me too - as of a few hours ago.

I don't think it is, Tristesse. I went to your Lit. page, but none of the poems I clicked on had the "public comment" box. - Though at Literotica it should more appropriately be "pubic comments" don't you think? :D

say i just tried it on Rybby's Eye Chart--fun and easy. maybe we'll get more feedback this way. (lol. getting a grip--no we won't.)

ok, i give

what the heck are you guys talking about. I don't see no public comment anything. where should i look ?

Go to your "view submissions" screen. There is a new clickable box with each poem that allows "public comments" to be made and viewed. Click on one of my poems in the signature line and try it. (Don't forget to VOTE also! ;)

Hmmm, well - it looks as if it's switched on. Don't know what else to do.

OT - it's a new feature that allows others to view your feed back. I'm not sure how it works yet. Just fiddlin'.

:D

ahh, thanks.

I found it. Guess I need to visit my submissions page more often (darn dried up muse, anyway...)

Okay, Mine is turned on. Not my muse, my public comment thingy. Now to go read something.

You didn't do what I did the first time did you? - You did remember to click on the "Save Changes" bar at the bottom of the "View Submissions" page after you clicked the new "Yes" option, didn't you? :)

Post a poem link that is active so that I can go comment on something!

Yes - I went over it , checking, again making sure I saved the changes. It all looks good. :(

So sorry, Tristesse, it is still not working. :( - But you got a new vote at least! ;)

Fool, I voted and commented on "Angeline Blues".

I feel I should thank you on his behalf. Actually, both of you. :D

I just turned public comments on for all my poems. I'm thinking I may post new poem review comments there as well as the new poem thread. Any comments/suggestions on that?

Well, thank you, Rybka. I'll fiddle a bit more.

Tell me, how do the comments appear to the recipient?

I guess the same way they look to everyone else. Go back and read what you posted and see, or/and click on my "EYE Chart" and see what Angie wrote. (Hey yeah! Go do that and then you can vote and leave your OWN comment and I will have TWO comments on ONE poem! - That is more than the number of votes on most of them! :D

IN ORDER TO GET THE COMMENT FEATURE TO WORK

You must go to the options portion of your author's profile and allow feedback. You do not have to permit anonymous feedback, but you do have to permit feedback.

That's why it doesn't work for Tristesse.

Thanks for the read. That poem has an interesting pedigree. It was originally on the "sudden passion" thread. Angeline and I had been talking about blues and Langston Hughes and the lightbulb came on in the form of the phrase "Angeline, have you seen, what life's got out there..." That was it. A couple of minutes later, I was done. Later on, I decided I wanted to keep it, cause I liked it, so I posted it. :D

And it does fit Ms. Angeline. :rose:

Ah! Thank you KM - you're right, of course. :)

Might get reviews read more often, assuming they have that feature turned on.

And your welcome, it was a fun poem to write....:rose: Thanks for being a good sport.
