Siren- I got angry and over-reacted. You stepped on my toes and I said unwarranted and nasty things. I used a cannon to kill a mouse.

I am sorry.

Please do not leave this place, there are too many of us that like you and want you to stay.

I'm not very good at this, so I'll leave it at that and hope you reconsider.

:(

Hot friggin Dammit!!!!! WHen I leave for a few days I expect the board to stop with me. Is that too much to ask???? Can't the world revolve around me?

I think PC just read something the wrong way that was intended as a joke.

He has my respect for apologizing, anyway.

I kind of like watching the PC/KM show and the Siren/PC/Lavender trio (haven't figured that one out yet.)

Anyone know what happened?

One person's war is another's "What was that noise?".

PC

If Siren wants to leave over something as stupid as a few words ... Let her.

Siren is old enough to make up her own mind.

All of "US" need to stop taking this shit so seriously, words are said on "BOTH" sides, NO-ONE is right and NO-ONE is wrong, and yes we are all old enough and have brains enough to know the difference.

If you wanna leave (and by you, I mean anyone), then leave, but don't blame someone else for it.

Get over it already.

Hey, the Lit theme song- remember?

Get Over It by The Eagles

I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' "Don't blame me"
They point their crooked little fingers at everybody else
spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat

Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if they gave you some cash
The more I think about it, Old Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers - kill 'em tonight
You don't want to work; you want to live like a king
But the big, bad world doesn't owe you a thing

Get over it
Get over it
If you don't want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, get over it

It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You're makin' the most of your losin' streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ass

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it
Get over it
It's gotta stop sometime, so why don't you quit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it

Yep that's the song and Cheyenne, you sing that so beautifully :)

LOL... maybe in the world of Lit. In RL, you do NOT want to be subjected to me singing.

Oh I dunno, it couldn't be any worse than mine ... my son tells me to stop "your giving me a headache Mummy", now that's when you know you shouldn't sing in public.

Oh the love of a five year old LOL.

Unfortunately it may be that Siren never sees this - she's gone already, I fear...

I don't think it was only over a few words from PC - (cool of you to apologize, btw) - like the others over the past few months I believe its over the accumulation of general nastiness and ill will...

Personally, I think things have improved quite a bit over the past month - but then again, I also tend to avoid the and ignore the shit... I don't believe its worth my time, I come here for fun (intellectual or silly) - other's seem to thrive on confrontation - but everyone has their breaking point...

Don't be any stupider than you can help. At times there is miscommunication. But there is someone who started it. Subsequent behavior in an escalating tiff between friends isn't right either. HOWEVER it shows a great deal of class, intestinal fortitude, and personal integrity to not only apologize publicly, but to admit to ones own culpability.

Of course, I called you stupid just now. But you won't take it seriously and I'm not wrong in calling you stupid. I'm not right either, but hey, under your system I can shuck blame like water off of Duxback and not have to worry about being responsible for my own posting behavior. So, get over it. :)

I would suggest you butt out as well. It's obvious you have no idea what's actually going on or you wouldn't be spouting with such erroneous knowledge about Siren leaving over a couple of words.

Hey KillerMuffin.

No argument here, just a fact.

It's okay for Siren to go around sprouting off about this and that, to "put her point across" to other people and not suffer for it, and YES she has done this.

Siren is very good at giving but never taking, we always hear the "I didn't deserve this" crap of hers. We get told to "buck up", well why can't the "buck up lady" buck up herself?

IF Siren leaves, it is through the fact (and you said the exact same thing when Lil Brandi left) that SHE wants to leave, not because anyone made her.

Siren is old enough and suppossed to be wise enough to know better. I may not fully know what is going on, but it simply comes down to the point that if someone, and by that I mean anyone, wants to leave ... it is quite simply down to them and NO-ONE else.

If you think I'm stupid for having that opinion, then so be it.

Well said, Nicole. It's amazing at how some play the double standard thing. "I can do it and tell you to to stop bitching, but don't you dare do it to me!" ~sigh~

Thank-you Tiggs, and I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has noticed that around here lately.

No prob.

:)

I've just basically kept myself out of the "troll did this, troll did that", "post your Lit points here", "God #*&@^ Damn ^**@&%#, I'm leaving this board" type of bitching threads. It's a waste of time.

Both of you (Nicole and Tiggs) have been targets on the bb at one time or another so you know it is much easier to say "buck up" than it is to actually do it. Siren is no different from the rest of us.

At least she is consistent. No matter what the topic of the argument, her defense is always the same. The person arguing with her must be jealous of her job/hubby/life. I'll miss that if Siren is actually gone!

I learned the hard way to "buck up" and ignore flaming and trolling. So, since I've learned from my mistakes, I don't agree that it is easier said than done. Especially for someone like Siren who has been here for a long time. She knows the board. She knows what it's like once these "phases" go into play. She's told everyone else to ignore the shit here. And, since only "adults" are allowed here, she should be mature enough to take her own advice. Leaving because PC said he didn't care for the points or game (or whatever) is an excuse, not a valid reason to take off.

THAT Cheyenne is my point, it's okay for her to tell others to "buck up" but when someone tells her to "buck up" or point out that what she said may be a little harsh, she either runs away or tells us "I didn't deserve this". It is hard to buck up, so if that's the advice you give to someone else, then why not follow it yourself?

It's a double standard, and one that shouldn't be happening. We all deserve to come here and be happy.

What I'm trying to say is, if for some reason or another someone wants to leave, then it's down to them and them only, even for a short break, it's the choice of THAT person, No-one else.

Oh and I know what it's like to publicly apologise, I've done it, and yes it is a good thing to do. I never questioned that.
