pseudonyms (sp?)

I wrote a story and would like to submit it to some Lit. editors. However, I'm stumped for a pseudonym. I wanted Quiver, unfortunately a Lit. member already has it. Am I wrong to think a pseudonym should have a personal meaning to the writer?

Getting a pen name is hard, but I think it's even harder to pick the perfect AV to go with it. Vegaskitty brings to mind beautiful showgirls scantily dressed, sexy, hot....whereas Quiver ??? I smile when I think of the name, but I just can't picture it.

It puzzles me anyone would find Weird Harold a scary nick--reminds me of Bill Cosby's accounts of the gang he hung out with as a kid--there was Fat Albert, Old Weird Harold...forget who the others were.

I used to watch these too although I was really to old to be watching kids' cartoons. I can picture some of the others in my mind but those are the only two names I remember also. When I saw the name, I assumed it was from the cartoon series.

I didn't think Weird Harold was so bad....honestly it conjoured up thoughts of Weird Al and a bunch of song parodies popped into my head!

Mush-Mouth, Cryin' Charlie, and Bill's little brother Russell are the others I remember just off-hand.

Boxlicker101, my nickname is far older than Fat Albert cartoon series it dates from Bill Cosby's opular standup comedy albums although it's NOT directly related to Bill's characters -- I'm too short, fat and White for that.

Oddly enough, Throughout my Air Force carreer, I served with at least one person who had each nickname from Bill's childhood remembrances.

At one time, I worked in a shop that had a Fat Albert, Russell, Mushmouth and Crying Charlie before I arrived to pretty much complete the set.

Mushmouth!!!!! That's the one I was thinking of.. thank you, now I can sleep!

Yes thanks Wierd Harold!

You have all the answers and I am thinking boy I want to be more like weird Harold when I grow up. (Not really it was just being nice to a fuzzy friend.)

I never liked Fat Albert, Hey Hey Hey it's Fat Albert! But who am I to be criticle obviously many did.

I never really liked the Fat Albert cartoon show, and it's fairly short run on Saturday mornings probably means not many kids did either.

I thought the Cartoon show was too preachy and "goody-two shoes" when compared to the hilarious antics of Bill and Friends in the stand-up routines.

I never really understood why Fat Albert was the star of the show; he's a minor character in only two or three of the comedy routines and only really featured in the "buck-buck game."

Bill Cosby was much funnier when he was just being funny and before he became such a Family Values icon. As for his much-vaunted parenting knowledge, he stands as an enduring example of What Not to Do; he messed up with his kids worse than anybody I know of personally did with theirs. I wonder, BTW, if he's made any attempts to repair his troubled relationship with his daughter, since he doesn't have his golden son anymore?
