Apparently, users have been getting compromised. I recently got hacked by somebody from Russia. It seems the kid wanted access to my Battlefield 3 account, and I never had an issue until I purchased the game (I got a bunch of new friends from Russia it seems). I am going to guess there is some kind of exploit on the game web site somewhere. I am guessing this, because even when users change passwords, there are complaints of accounts getting re-hijacked.

I got my account restored today, and thankfully, I use different passwords everywhere with no cc details retained. Anyway, if you use Origin, be extra careful.

I wouldn't doubt they've been hacked. All the others have been as well.

I do not know.

All I know, this kid is persistent. I keep getting hammered with friend requests from the one who hijacked the account, lol

Since EA owns most of the titles I play, I linked my origin acct with my Xbox acct so I could have a workaround just in case.

EA sucks at security.

Yeah. I never had an issue until I purchased BF3. Looking around, most of the issues are about that particular title, and all the culprits are from Russia. It seems the guy had my account info for two days, and no telling what happened in that space of time.

It seems this guy has more than one account (who saw that coming), and I am not sure if he is hijacking accounts to cheat, troll, or worse. I guess I will find out soon enough.

What's being taken exactly? Access to titles? Community accounts? Card info?

It seems like the guy wanted access to the Premium game (which has a bunch of DLC's and stuff in one package) and the community account. Once he jacked my account, he recruited a bunch of his friends and fucked around. No telling what they did, but from what I am seeing so far, they had no access to bank info.
