A GERMAN tourist who was killed in a crocodile attack had fled the Bali bombing only days earlier.

Isabel von Jordon, 25, was told by her tour guide it was safe to swim in the Kakadu National Park billabong, her sister claimed yesterday.

Valerie von Jordan, 27, said the guide swam with the eight tourists during the moonlight dip but had got out before the attack.

The guide allegedly told the tourists: "Aborigines swim in the billabong and they know it's safe because there are only freshwater crocodiles here."

Rangers said the waterway was home to eight large saltwater crocodiles, which are far more dangerous.

Ok here it is...there are some FUCKING stupid people in this world.

On Tuesday night, there was a tour group camping by a billabong (approapriate isn't it?) up in Kakado.

These tourists were sitting around the camp sight, having a quiet drink under the full moon, when about midnight, a german tourist decided it was a good night for a swim.

Despite there being many many MANY signs around, she was very surpised when a crocodile decided to make her dinner.

"Mien gott!!"

Ahhh now i think i can hear you all saying "maybe she did not speak English and could not read the signs?".

Yes maybe, but please explain this...

The signs were a picture of a crocodile with its mouth open, and a picture of a swimmer with a dirty great red line through it.

I believe this is the international symbol for "don;t be a fucking idiot".

The police caught and killed the croc yesterday (apparently it was obvious which one it was, since it still had part of the torso hanging from it's mouth), and on the news, they kept showing it and opening it's mouth.

Ok call me irreverent, but i kept shouting out "i'm in here! I'm in here!"

God i hope this tourist gets nominated for the Darwin awards.

I will be honest and say that it is actually new hear in the "oh my isn't it terrible" department about her being eaten.

Not once though, have i heard it meantioned she was in Bali.

We seem to have heard everything else about her, than that.
