Name: Theresa
Nickname:Tessa or Tessie
Age: 25
Height: 5'2

Tessa made her way towards the large room nodding to the men on either side of the door. Her hair was pulled back into a tight bun and her black pant suit was iron to a tee. She already had her walkie at her hip along with her holster and hidden semiautomatic under her coat along with a knife strapped to her ankle. Fixing her earpiece she motioned for the guards to do their rounds. It was six am, time for wakeup call as usual. She was head of security and personal body guard to one of the most important man in the country.

Stepping inside she closed the door, hearing the lock only two keys could open. She glanced to the alarm clock that was already going and smiled. Same routine every day. Walking over gracefully she clicked the snooze button before beginning open the curtains and start the warm water for his shower. "Good morning sir. Breakfast will be here at 0700 and the water is warming for a shower. Grabbing the sheets she began to pull them back as she walked by. " Rise and shine you've got a busy day. I've already got detail down at the embassy setting up security and perimeter. I don't want a repeat of last time. " She mumbled looking down at her still healing knuckles as she sat down in her usual chair in the corner to wait for him to get ready in peace.

"Thank you, Theresa,: I said rising up from my bed and throwing off the sheets revealing a black silk pajama top and bottom and rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Standing up before the open windows I stretched my arms to the side and yawned and went closer to get a good look at the city below and the thousands of people humming as they went along the endless interweaving roads. The warm water was splashing in the tub and I went over to the room and took off my pajamas and hung it on the hook outside and slid inside the bath and let out a sigh of relief and my muscles relaxed. I washed, shaved, brushed, and then went to the closet to pick out my fine suits that had been freshly dry cleaned and inspected by my head of security Theresa. She was a dedicated worker and always looked after everything for me because she was always looking for threats to keep me safe. That's what I loved about her.

I slid inside a fine black Italian tailored suit with matching shoes and started working on my gold cuff-lings and emerged from my room at 0630 right on schedule. The first person to greet me was Theresa as always with a list of everything that we needed to do as well as who we were going to meet because everything had to be run past her for security. I gave her a warm smile and said, "Good morning, Theresa. What's on the schedule for today?"

With a smile she stood as he walked out grabbing her phone from hee pocket. "Good morning sir." she said sweetly before beginning to run through their schedule for the day. "Breakfast is almost ready and will be served in the dining area as usual before we leave fore the embassy. There you will meet with Mr. Jones. He wants to talk piece between the two races. He hopes that with your backing he can finally help end the segregation of the two races. As for after, we will be flying east to meet with the embassy there. It's the grand reopening of their new embassy. They just finished rebuilding after the bombing a month ago. After there you are to speak with the Mayor to talk about the inner city issues with education."

Opening the door for him she nodded to two more of her guards before walking with him to his table where his breakfast was being placed. She was always about times. She had managed to get everything on track when she first got her position as head of security. Everyone had synchronized watches and everyone knew what time they were supposed to move and when. It allowed her to keep track over every vantage point and keep him safe.

"Very well" I said "Let's get going." I worked for the UN as a mediator of sorts. I was sent to try and settle differences between factions, countries, and politicsl parties and had been it for a couple of years. It was not a position I chose. Rather, I found myself there. As we headed downstairs with my security to the kitchen for breakfast I felt rather warm and safe especially with Theresa leading me out. As she called out our schedule it reminded me of a lot of things that couldn't be saved.

Mr. Jones and his people had been fightingbthe segregation but many of his people were using extreme means to do it and because of that his government was clamping down on his people. He was asking for help to serve between him and the government. As we reached the kitchen the security team strung out to cover everything as I sat down at the head of a linen covered table and waited for the cook there serve. Looking at Theresa I smiled as I remembered what happened last time and why she was bitter about it. It was part of the Korean Unification talks and as we were leaving the event we were pounced upon by some demonstrators. Theresa acted bravely in getting me out but she had been kicking herself for not reacting fast enough even though I said hundreds of times that she did great and acted bravely I don't think she accepted it.

taking a seat across the table from him she slid on leg over the other glancing around the room briefly to assure her team was in the correct position. After assuring herself everything was in place she turned back to him. "Security will be high at the embassy. Tensions are high there and some won't be happy of your arrival. Ballou and myself will be accompanying you, just as a precaution." She said coldly. She wasn't a fan of Ballou, not as a person anyway. He was an amazing working and was great at his job having been in the Marines before this. He was harsh and rough around the edges, along with a ladies man. At least he thought he was. He had been trying to get Tessa into bed for a good year and a half now.

Looking back to her boss she smiled. Through it all though she was happy with her job. Granted she had been shot at, beaten, struck, at one point she recalled she had been attacked with a sword and had almost been poisoned but it was worth it. She worked for one of the nicest men in the world, at least in her opinion. "So sir, I have also scheduled you the night off if you would like to go or do something just let me know and I'll arrange it." Tessa always tried to give him time off every couple of weeks or sometimes day depending on how it was going to give him a break away.

"That would be great" I smiled at her as she slid the schedule to me. The door to our right opened and out came the cook with a palate with the plates carrying breakfast. It was the usual; three strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, sliced wheat toast and orange juice and milk. The plates were placed before me and Tessa and taking up my fork I said, "I hear there are some fine clubs nearby that cater to some good folks, Theresa."

I called her Theresa, though everyone else called her Tessa or Tessie. Perhaps it was a may of sounding unique but I also cared for her because she has saved my life many times. It was her job, but during these years I knew that I would be dead if it wasn't for her. One of her partners, Ballou, he was a good guy, but there seemed to be a rift between him and Theresa. Don't know exactly why because my details were constantly rotated out. The only one that was with me constantly was Theresa and she was a lovely face to wake up to.

"Why not book us a spot at one of the clubs for a couple of hours of dining and dancing?" before taking a bite of my bacon. It would be a welcome reprieve from all the stress of formal occasions and speaking to people that wanted to rip out my throat.

Nodding to the cook the dismissed he guards to go get their breakfast as well. it was the same every morning. He was such a generous man. Her team never went hungry and never went without when it came to supplies. Beginning to eat her own breakfast she clicked away on her black berry, making the necessary arrangements. After a few beeps she nodded and looked back to him. "Alright sir. I've got you booked at the pandemica" She smiled before turning back to her food. "I'll have your usual night at its iron before we all head out. Some of our men will be undercover and others will be in uniform." With that she leaned back in her chair glancing around a few times before looking back at him.

He was such a kind man. He seemed to never lose his temper and never seemed to lash out. Thinking back to the man times things had gotten out of hand he had always seemed to stay controlled and never doubted her decisions. It made her job easier but it also made her mistakes harder to get over. Just as she was coming from her reverie she heard the door click as it opened. Sighing she watched as Ballou strolled in.

"Ah, Mr. Ballou!" I smiled standing up from my seat and scooting the chair back and offering my hand in which he shook, "Glad to see you. You're just in time. We're about to wrap up breakfast and head on out."

He nodded and then looked over at Theresa and gave another smile and then a nod. Ballou was happy to see her, but she didn't seem to be happy to see him, rather the looks on her face appeared to be forced in order to keep the peace. I sat down and finished up my plate, but I didn't mention to Ballou about what would happen after we went through today's schedule. It was a lark just between me and Theresa, though we would have undercover guards everywhere we went.

"You two enjoying yourself?" Ballou asked.

"Quite" I replied nodding to him and then flicking my eyes over at Theresa. I remember that she did ask me about my past; I was born in England. My father and mother were from the U.S with my father being in the Air Force at the time and spent three years there before going all over the world with them, visiting over thirty countries until I turned 18 and I went to Harvard and graduated with a bacheloers and then a Masters in foreign relations. Never married and never had time for personal stuff such as a serious relationship on account of my studies and then my job with the U.N.

Theresa rolled her eyes at Ballou not wanting him to ask her in some way to get into bed. Every time the man opened his mouth when it came to her it seemed to always be an invitation to bed. Placing her napkin on her plate she stood nodding to them both before smoothing her suit and checking the time. "It's about time we head out we have a long ride to the embassy." She said softly, fixing a loose piece of hair that had fallen in front of her face. She prided herself on the fact the none of her security personnel or her boss had seen her outside of her uniform. Never dressed down, never more than her simplest make up and never her long curling hair out of her bun.

"The limo will be just outside waiting for us. " she said softly passing Ballou and informing him he would be riding up front with the driver while she was in the back. He had asked her about her own past after they had begun to trust each other. He knew she was an orphan, her parents having died when she was ten in a car crash and having been brought up in foster care she had no ties at all to anyone. No family no friends. It made he job easy, she didn't have to worry about holidays away from home or extended vacations to visit loved ones. Her job was her life, so much so that last visit 'home' she had sold her apartment and placed all of her things in storage... not that he knew that. He still thought she had an apartment waiting for her when it was her time off.

Ballou looked at her in disappointment as Theresa left, but he did catch a glimpse of her backside as she walked past and I saw him moisten his lips. I got up to walk past him, along the way adjusting my jacket when Ballou stopped me and moved in front to whisper something, "Can I ask you a question, sir?"

"What's that, Mr. Ballou?" I replied looking at him rather eye to eye, though he was a hair shorter than me.

Out of the corner of his eye he looked to ensure that she was gone then back towards me, "Have you ever gotten her into the sack?"

"Who?" I replied rather feigning innocence.

"Tessie" he replied with a devilish smile, "C'mon, man, she looks like the kind of girl that needs a good shag to loosen her up."

"That's not allowed," I said to him rather flatly, "Her job is to protect me. Nothing more." Holding up a hand to his chest, "The more you realize that women are more than just your little trophy is when you realize that there is more to life than just what happens in your bed," clapping his shoulder with a firm hand and then walking around Ballou to catch that limo out of there.

Tessa was in the midst of directing her team when he walked out of the dining hall. A small smile touched her face as she nodded to him as walked with him to the limo. Opening the door for him she allowed him to get inside before looking to Ballou. "I'll need you to be the eyes today. I'll be on the flank at all time but I'm going to need you to be the leading horse. you'll be in charge of anyone ahead and behind us. Anyone leaving or entering the room is going to be your main priority. I've got perimeter set for the entire building as well at the block." She said coldly before stepping into the limo as well.

"Any questions about today sir? " She asked sweetly, crossing one leg over the other as she got comfortable in the seat. She was across from him as the limo pulled out with Ballou riding shot gun.

With us underway I looked around to ensure that we were alone. The cabin we were sitting in was soundproof. The only way Ballou would hear us is if he rolled down the back window from the drivers area or if Theresa called him. "Yes," I smiled at her as my eyes graced her lovely face, "Do you ever wear something else?" giving a teasing smile. "Be nice to see you in a red dress, maybe for a formal ball." I was teasing her because she was always the one that wanted to keep things on track, strictly business. Theresa was like this so much that she didn't seem to have another side to her, no private life, no husband, no one she could cuddle up with. Deep down, even though I shouldn't have I did picture Theresa in a somewhat different light, nothing sexual mind you, but in a light where there was no stress, where we weren't fearing for our lives which is why I jumped at the chance to go to this club together because we both needed to loosen up every once in awhile.

Looking down at her phone she shook her head. "Only when I sleep. Always professional. You know that." She said simply typing away on tomorrow schedule. "Would you rather speak with inner city kids tomorrow or speak with the U. N" She asked brushing off his comment of a red dress. She didn't even own one. Leaning back she sighed. "Sir. can I be frank." she said softly glancing to the Window and back to him. "I don't own a red dress. My life is my job and I like it that way. It's less complicated and it's easier. No issues with love or worries about family. You already know I'm not attached to anyone."

She let out a small yawn as the limo continued on without problem and after a good half hour she spoke into her cuff clearly. "Ballou. Update how are things?"

"We're tight" Ballou replied as he looked around the front of the building. There were people already there greeting us as we emerged. A lot of protestors but also supporters and the police as well keeping them back. Mixed in with them were plain clothed security weeding their way through the throng for any signs of trouble makers.

"Take him on through" Ballou replied.

As I emerged from the limo I saw the winks of cameras but also a rise in the number of taunts and harsh words. we had to get through this area quickly to minimize our appearance. As we went I looked at Theresa and remarked, "Be nice to be able to get away from all of this, wouldn't it?" I replied trying to add a little bit to her desire to remain isolated. It was a shame that she was alone. She didn't deserve it, but I didn't think it would be me to do it and it certainly wasn't going to be Ballou because, for him, it would be 'wham-bam-thank you, ma'am' and that's not how I went.

Going through the corralled crowd I waved and smiled for the cameras before we were able to get inside the perimeter.

Stepping out with a nod of spoke clearly. "Jeep a visual on target we are moving in. Containment keep eyes on crowd for any unusual movement. Eagles eye the prey." She spoke glance g high to her men on the roof before guiding him in. Hiding a smile on her face at his words. "I guess it would be." She said softly thinking of dancing and laughing without the security and the fears. She seemed to live on fear lately. "Touching his back she guided him into the doors with Ballou with us.

" Well be on the second floor. " She cooed moving to the elevator with the two. Standing in the corner she leaned against the wall grasping the handle as Ballou pushed the button. She never liked elevators. She wouldn't admit it out loud but she had a slight phobia of elevators. Coupled with claustrophobia it was a disaster waiting to happen. Standing straight she looked at the two. " How we doing? everyone ok? " She always asked, mainly to make sure everyone was calm and no one was over stressed.

"I'm fine" Ballou replied, "I'm always fine" giving a rather suave smile. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses in orders. There was no reason other than protection in case someone spat on him or used mace, but he liked the smooth frames thinking it gave him style and it allowed him to look around at people without them noticing that he was looking.

"I'm well" I replied in a correct format to the question and gave her a smile and a nod. I could tell that she was nervous and I wanted to calm her down without reaching out and touching her as it would betray that she was having a problem and we didn't need something that Ballou could get some fuel off of that would end up on the rumor mill. Elevators never bothered me as I felt it go up rather quickly and when it reached the second floor there was a chime as the doors slid open revealing a rather large, open expanse for a floor and greeting us was a receptionist with a beaming smile holding a clipboard and quickly going through the list of names.

"Shall we?" I said to my security detail with a nod.

Rolling her eyes are Ballou she shook her head. "Take those stupid things off. You aren't going to get spat on." She said coldly before looking to her boss. Smiling she nodded to him as well before letting Ballou lead the way. Walking next to him she nodded to the receptionist telling her the name and time they were to meet.

It wasn't long before they were walking into the conference room with Mr. Jones seated happily at the end. "Here we are sir. Ballou. you take left flank I'll take right. " She said simply as she took up her spot at the door before radio in in to the rest of the team. She glanced at Ballou who was taking hos side opposite her at the door.

Their job was to protect me so I was in no position to question what they did or how they did it. With Theresa ordering everyone around it left me to deal with the matter at hand. The receptionist allowed me to sit at the fine oak table and said that Mister Jones was on his way, he had to deal with a last minute drop in. That was the price of being a politician; there was always someone coming by looking for a favor. I had to deal with that, people coming by or asking that they needed help. As much as I loved to help people in their time of need there was always a person that came around at the wrong time and knowing that tonight we were going to a club, I knew that someone would be calling, someone like Mr. Jones, asking for my assistance and that it would cancel the evening. It got to be such a problem that I said to Theresa, "Make sure to turn off the phone tonight."

Sitting at the table with my hands resting on the surface about popping the bottom button on my jacket I leaned back into the chair in a rather relaxed state looking out the bay window before me. Just to my right I could see Theresa there standing at her post and across was Ballou as the warm sun was now shining through the window and warming my eyes before it concealed itself behind some thick clouds. It was a lovely view of the city with the many skyscrapers and the thousands of smaller buildings.

Slowly Tessa began to relax enough to look around the room, her eyes darting from object to object before falling on her boss. He had been so kind to her and rather understanding. When it came to past employers they always wanted to know her life story off the bat. She guessed they felt that if there was anything bad in her past it would come to hurt them in the future. He had always let her have her privacy and never pried when it came down to details. He let her run herself the way she needed to, never seeming to question her motives. She had a lot of experience in the field and it showed when it came to dangerous situations. Under her watch he had never been hurt. She couldn't say the same for herself hut she would gladly take a bullet for him.

The door opened and she quickly responded by stepping back and checking the area before glancing to Ballou and her boss. She was placed so she would be last seen, making it seem as though there was only two people in the room. It allowed her the edge in case of emergency. Seeing Mr. Jones she smiled nodding to the man who walked in and greater everyone with a happy look on his face.

"Mister Jones" I said standing up from my chair and buttoning up my coat and walking around the table to greet him with a firm handshake. Jones shook and nodded, flashing a smile at me then at my security. He was tall, dark, with almost no hair on top and deep eyes that was the result of many nights without sleep. "Good to see you again," I said.

"Yes, it is good to see you," Jones replied rather slowly, "I hope that we can be able to settle our differences today."

"I hope so as well," I nodded and we sat down at the table with my eyes looking towards my gold watch. It would be some hours before we were able to leave and be able to go to the club. Jones was desperate, his voice strained by years of abuse and he was pleading with me to be able to help him and I assured him that I would be able to. It took perhaps an hour before I was able to talk through all of Mister Jones' grievances and he thanked me immensely before leaving the room. I slumped into my chair and let out a heavy sigh of relief. That was over with. Now we could focus on getting this done and then....my mind went blank and I turned to Theresa and beckoned her closer to me with a smile, "What else is on our itinerary today, dear? It slipped my mind."

Smiling Theresa stood fast as he had his meeting, glancing to Ballou she nodded to him to make his rounds in the hall. She stood quiet for the while time before she nodded goodbye to Mr. Jones. Walking over to him as he beckoned her she smiled. "That's why I'm here." She cooed touching his back. "We've got a two hour flight to the new embassy. Then we have a short ride to speak with inner city kids." She cooed helping him up and leading him towards the door. "But first we have to get to the airport." Walking next to him she spoke gently. She knew that it must be rough having to take on everyone's problems.

It didn't take long to get back to the limo who was waiting happily. Sliding in behind him she took her seat happily. Glancing at her way h she frowned before typing on her phone. After a few moments she nodded and looked to him. "Lunch will be served on the plane. I know it's not ideal or your favorite but sadly I can't get us enough time to dine somewhere." She sad softly, sadness touching her voice. She knew how much he hated feeling like he was running ragid.

"How do you do it? " she murmured sliding one leg over the other. " You are always so gentle with people when I can tell you've about had enough... how do you do it? "

"Most of the time," I smiled, "It comes from what my father taught me. He said, a person learns when you put them on their level and talk to them with a careful voice instead of just shouting or belittling them." Those were fond memories where father taught me how to fish, to swim, and how to shave. He would always keep the same tone of voice no matter what I did. When I dropped his favorite bottle of wine one day and broke it, he didn't shout or rave but knelt before me and told to be careful next time and to clean it up and since then, I haven't dropped a bottle. "That's what I was taught," nodding towards her.

"Patience though, my dear," I said holding up a slender finger, "Patience is the real key. I try to learn about those that I talk to, learn their manners, their way of thinking, and those that are close to them that way I can make the conversation more personal and when you make it more personal, the more a person will listen. That is what I learned in college," giving her a little wink. Sadly, it didn't work that much on women because I didn't have the time to go and talk to them.

"When we go to the club, Theresa, what will you wear? You are certainly not going to wear that, are you?" I asked as my eyes looked her over. Though a real beauty, she looked more like a business woman in that attire and wouldn't mix well in a club.

She stared at him for a. long moment, taking I his words and deciding how to respond as she sat silently before him. Finally she smiled and gave a small nod. "You truly are a remarkable man. On day a woman will be blessed to have you in their lives." her voice was barely a whisper in the quiet limo as they sped down the highway. It was when they came to a halt that his question reached her ears. Biting her lip she thought again, thinking to the luggage already on the plane. "I think... I might have an old dress I used to wear in college." She figured it still fit. She hadn't tried it on since college but she was roughly the same size, granted she had filled out a little more and her curves had become more distinguished though you could never tell in her suit.

Stepping o of the limo she guided him gracefully to the plane urging news and photographers away with a wave of her hand. As one man came much to close she glanced for Ballou before deciding to handle it herself. "Sir I need you to step back." She was firm but never threatening when she spoke, standing her ground as she did. Lifting her arm as he came closer, seeming to ignore her she stood taller she pressed him back grabbing his attention. "I'm only going to ask once more before I have you removed by security. Step. Back." Her voice turned curt, her eyes holding an authority the seemed foreign to her usually calm features. Finally, as the man began to back away she urged him further, taking his elbow as she did. "We're almost there. Getting to the stairs she stood behind him holding off the crowd and their advances as he made his way up the stairs. It was only when he was safely inside that she followed.

Seeing the man out of the corner of my eye I gave him a look, but he still advanced then Theresa did her job in coaching him back with a firm tone. I kept going to the stairs and boarded the plane with Ballou right behind me. The press were asking questions, all sorts of things, but things I couldn't answer or solve at the moment. All I was trying to do was board an airplane for a short hop to the embassy and the press treated every moment I stepped outside as a person bleeding in a ocean and they were the sharks sensing it.

"Have a seat, sir" Ballou replied. I found a nice leather chair beside the window on the starboard side that looked out to where Theresa was and the rest of the detail coaching the crowd to withdrawal so that the plane could begin its taxi. There were hundreds of cameras flashing and people waving and raising their hands trying to gain my attention. I admired everyone of them, but I didn't have time to solve their problems.

"You need anything, sir?" Ballou appeared beside me and asked while putting back on his sunglasses.

"No. Thank you" I nodded and looked towards the front of the plane for Theresa to climb onboard. We would have a short time to talk, but we wouldn't have the privacy as we would in the limo.

Tessa was Growling on the inside though she wouldn't show it on the out. She was waving her hands, pushing back crowds, getting man handled by some as she did her job. She held back a grimace ad a camera came across her cheek as the owner tried to turn around. Thankfully she didn't taste blood though her cheek was now stinging. It was a good five minutes before they managed to clear the runway. Making her way up the stairs she ignored the sting that was slowly turning into tingles. "Are we all set?" She asked Ballou before radio in the pilot they were all clear.

After taking her seat she carefully began to fix her hair, tucking away stray strands before timidly touching her cheek. It was warm to the touch with definitely meant it was red. She only hoped it wasn't to noticeable. "So... Sir... What would you like fore lunch?" she asked lightly.
