A little while after I came to this board I got into a fight with DCL. Well actually, I became involved in what was actually a much larger fight that a group of people including DCL were having with another group of people. The fight between DCL and I centered around responding to trolls. I thought there were some trolls that would never go away, so why not fuck with them while they are here? I was wrong.
I realized, especially by studying Kidrock, that if people can actually have some tiny shred of self-discipline and ignore them, they WILL fade away rather quickly.
But there are people (and always the same ones, I might add) that always have to respond to the trolls. They swallow the bait, hook, line and sinker....every time. And in the process, they are the only ones that look foolish. I know- I used to be one of them.
Today I log on, and I see that once again, KR has succeeded in getting people all pissed and has gotten 85 responses to his thread in a little less than three hours. That's pretty good. He is one of the most successful posters here on a total posts per thread basis.
The sad thing is that even though he is correct in his observation (you all know he's right), you validate the obnoxious way he makes a point by responding to him. And once again it's always the same people- you know who you are.
Anyway...just wanted to tell DCL he was right.
