I'm in the middle of writing a non-human story (hoping for 80k words) and I really just need a proof reader: someone who'll spot the overly obvious, yet my eyes just aren't seeing. I'm not an expert editor, but I'd be happy to trade proof reading for proof reading.

If you're interested, please PM me.

Thanks

Orthography

Ideal writing should be accurate, precise, and concise. My background is in formal business writing; I am not a professional writer and I have no expertise in the subject matter of this website. I don’t read coprophilia.
I’d be happy to review your draft, if you can send a block of it through the Lit PM system. However, I am offline. I check in only a couple of days a week and do my reading and writing offline. There will be a considerable turnaround time.
If you haven’t already, please look through the various Lit posts on writing and editing; see the Forum, Reviews, and How To sections. I use an older version of MS Word in Windows Vista; its spelling and grammar checker uses a pass/fail indicator which turns green after all the red flags are cleared. It also displays punctuation errors.
Then, I would read your draft for coherency, diction, and consistency. I am a native English speaker (U.S. American English) and prefer to work with the same. I’m really not comfortable with slang or dialect. Please indicate if an irregular usage is intentional.
My next story is in the development phase and has no draft ready, but I would like to find a draft reader this summer.
Good luck!

In need of guidance...

I originally posted a seven chapter story... and judging from the feedback I received, I should have used an 'editor' before posting...

I currently have a new story, that only has one chapter thus far, and am searching for an editor to review it, before I post it.

The story is more voyeur than anything else, but may teeter on other elements as well. The guidance I am wanting would be in correct genre placement, help with tense and minor critique of story.

The title is 'The Perfidious Wife'

any takers?
