Well guys, I changed my mind about Global Warming. It's a scientific fact.
I read the long-range weather forecast for the U.S. today. Brace yourselves.
They project a gradual cooling trend beginning in early September and expect it to get progressively colder all the way through March, which is when they expect the trend to reverse itself. I guess it's from all those Polar Ice Cubes melting and stuff.
It gets worse.
Beginning in May they said it's really, really going to start getting really, really warmer. Not just in the southeastern U.S., but in remote places like the Sahara Desert (used to be a rain forest) and the Mojave Desert (used to be inhabited by dinosaurs until acid rain got the boogers.) July is going to be pure hell in those regions. Anyone foolish enough to walk through the desert in midday without water will face certain death.
Anyone who thinks this isn't a real threat has their head in the sand. The proof is everywhere. Would you believe that only yesterday the sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Then this morning, out of nowhere, it started raining.
What finally convinced me was the person from the Environmental Defense Initiative (or something like that) on the Today show yesterday. She was talking about how polluted our beaches were. Yessiree - polluted by rainwater.
If we don't figure out how to control rainwater, well, I don't know what to think. Might as well just pack it in.
