Last night at the party I attended, someone asked the crowd to remember their promises to themselves for the new year. I think this is interesting. I hate resolutions, as I always break them and feel shitty about it. But a promise to myself seems different somehow. It's necessarily a vow to change anything, but some kind of determination for the new year.
So rather than post your resolutions (as some have done on other threads) I'd love to hear what your promise is for the year to come.
Mine: to have sex. It's been two years. I've emotionally healed. I know what I'm looking for now (mostly). I believe in myself enough not to allow myself to be used or to seek sex as a means for love (or a substitute). So, it's time.
