Addressing the 'poor' issue.

It seems that over the past 30-40 years the observation, "They're poor ya know?" has become an excuse for all aberrant behavior. And just what is the threshold? As pointed out by Beew, they certainly have the money to buy the drugs/alcohol? Where is that coming from?

Again I reiterate, poverty is as a result of their decisions/behavior, NOT necessarily the cause.

I have searched for evidence that people with money behave better than poor people, and have not found any. Perhaps you can provide some?

This morning while walking a dog through a park, I decided to investigate the scene for signs of the demise of our sacred spaces. Chance (the dog) has a particularly sharp nose and I knew we had stumbled onto something when I could not divert his attention.

You can imagine my dismay when I discovered it was....corn. While we did not find any needles or needle drop boxes nor even an abandoned liquor bottle, we did confirm my theory that the slogan "there's more than corn in Indiana" is a lie and evil propaganda at best.

We live in a society with an uneven playing field and then you blame the ones at a disadvantage for not succeeding.
