Ok, so I've uploaded a picture to my profile, it shows in my options page, but not in the profile itself.

Is there a rule on this?

X-stories posted to get a picture or something?

I couldn't find anything in the FAQ.

It won't show on the member's page accessible to the oublic until the member pages are regenerated -- usually as part of the "Midnight maintenance event" at midight PDT.

But I put it in my profile the day I first registered.

An E-mail to Webmaster@Literotica.com is probably in order then -- that or a PM to Laurel or Manu (the site owners and operators.) They've been very busy the last two weeks or so and they may need to OK the picture before it updates -- usually no problem unless it's obviously a copyrighted picture.

Profile pics are subject to approval by the webmasters. I remember this from my own stint with a profile pic that didn't show up.

The webmasters are still driving back home. No profile pics will show up until they get there and approve them. Sometime next week and you'll get 'em up.

:)

THose aren't the same people who approve my stories then?

My stories went up fairly fast, though they edited out a lot of the material I had in the intro...
and then staged out my multiparter...

I'll have to put in a note next time telling them them to not edit it. I'd rather it not be posted than it be edited.

I had a whole header designed to alert people to things in the tale they may -squick- on, and give a short explaination.

They also edited out my chapter titles... One other site also did this.

THat's part of the story, even if it isn't in the body.

Ok, that's a vent for another topic. :)

Laurel and Manu have both been on the road. They have a procedure figured out for approving and posting the stories from a remote location, but not most for the other details. Primarily it's a matter fo the time constaints of using dial-up onthe road and broad-band at home.

I think they reserve the right to format stories and titles to fit the formatting of their site. Drop Laurel a PM and she'll either fix it or yank for you. Your choice. :)

Though, I'm not really sure why this is a problem. A publication will edit--even into the story or article body itself--if it suits them prior to publication. Why should Literotica be different? They're a publisher.

I just re-read that. It was extremely rude on my part and I must apologize for it. One should never make such judgments or assumptions, and that means me, too.

I'm sorry, tenyari. I hope I have not offended you with my last post. If I have, I did not mean to do so.

Sincerely, if you do have a problem, PM Laurel--she's the one who does the stories. She's always been very good about taking care of authors.
