Yes, I generally check for profile pics of newcomers and frequently for the regulars here. They vary from humorous to something a little extra.

Profile pics can rawk. You will soon learn who frequently switches them out, which is really good knowledge to have.

I love to check for profile pics, they’re usually more intimate as someone already said and or show more of a person. Which reminds me, I should probably update mine. It’s been awhile.
