How long have you been waiting? Unfortunately the site can be very slow about non-priority things. A change of picture is like an edit to a published story: it doesn't have to happen next day. You can expect to wait for a week, or a few weeks . . . it's hard to say.

Actually, the one time I changed my picture, I was surprised it did happen very quickly, in a day or two. But don't expect that.
