Profile photo

I realise that l am far from being tech savvy but if anyone can help l would be grateful.

I am simply trying to add a photo to my profile, the photo is in my library but every time l try to load it l get the message "File extension not allowed" any suggestions please.

They only allow .jpg extension on profile pics. They may allow .png, but not all .png files are really .png files. ETA: They do allow .gif and .jpeg and .jpg.

There is also a size limitation. Not only width and height, but size in KBs.

Thanks for that l have finally worked out that if l cropped the picture it would get accepted, have managed to do that now, should have asked my grandchildren, but then again, given the subject matter perhaps not.

I could use some input on image posting

After going back and forth numerous times, I can't even figure nd the starting gate in editing my profile to post a profile picture. I see the option key in there, lower left corner that is titled attachments. But that box doesn't let me click on it, like the other options, it just Grey's out and doesn't seem to be a working option on my options. I am using a smart phoner, would Dee if that is my speed bump. Also tried to submit a pic related to a thread I was reading and get same result.Sure will appreciate any input

You have to have made 100 posts to be able to post a profile picture. It's just a rite of passage. But not clearly written in the instruction passages.

If you look down below the edit box that you type into, you well see the Manage Attachments button. Once you have posted an attachment, the Attachments section in your profile will become active.

As for post a profile picture, after 100 posts in the forums the Avatar and Profile Picture sections will be added to your User CP.

You might have to logout and log back in to have them activate. Or wait until your post have exceeded 100. Say 102 to 105.

ETA: Unfortunately I know nothing about phones and Lit. Sorry.
