Problems with posting a story

I'm trying to post the third chapter to my story, but it's been awaiting approval since sunday. I'm not super familiar with how the system works, but five days is an awfully long time to wait on a posting.

Here's some background info-
Chapter is 70 MS word pages long
I had to edit it and resubmit it sunday night (I clicked the pending button, changed a few things, then saved changes)

Is there anyone who can help? Preferably the one who looks at all the stories and approves them?

Contest going on. That typically stretches the approval time.

Also, my last couple took 5 days to approve. I sometimes stretches up to around a week, if there's a backlog of submissions and a contest going on at the same time.

My last series of stories (last week) took six days each to post.

My last story, which was 9700 words, also took six days. So I don't think story length is a big factor -- I think it's volume of submissions and the contest and only one person vetting the stories.

My last few have taken 5 to 6 days to get approved. I've got one 'in process' now (Friday) that has been in since ... hmm, I think Monday. Can't complain though, they do a good job.

My last one sat in pending for five days before I caught something that needed to be edited. After hitting the pending link and resubmitting, it took another six days to post. With the contest going on, I expected a longer wait time for posting.
